  1. It may be possible that they ordered you EA81 axles instead of EA82. The EA82 body style is wider than the EA81 by a few inches. I would double check with the manufacturer, to make sure you got axles for a wagon/sedan, instead of a BRAT or hatch. Twitch
  2. Look up SuberDave. He has a WRX powered GL wagon Or Caboobaroo, he has some pretty sweet mods. McBrat, he has an awesome BRAT over here. That's just a few of the many interesting mods around here. May I ask what your husband's user name is? Twitch
  3. Is this project still in order? You have somebody over here kinda begging for some redrilled EA81 hubs to the 5x100 pattern. I was going to go with a full lego/imp swap into my BRAT, but if I can get the hubs redrilled, I may not go with the full swap. I may just swap the struts and go with the adapted hubs. Twitch
  4. Well, JesZek... I say get an EA81 and put it in there I'm sorry to say your sube has stumped me. The leaking hose is probably your overheating problem, but other than that I have no clue. If it seems like you're burning rich, maybe you need to rebuild and rejet your weber. Twitch PS: I'll see if I can send you a can of seafoam!
  5. Yes, I read the original poster's question's and his requests, and I can find an early 90's S-10 with a 4.3 vortec for around $2000-2500. I can't find an early 90's nissan or toyota for less than $3000, and that's if you're lucky. And I wasn't trying to start a horse power war, I was just pointing out that when it comes to towing, the more horses, the better. And weight is also a deciding factor, the heavier the tow vehicle, the less like it is to be pushed around by the vehicle being towed. And I'm betting that Ford isn't a ranger! I myself have always been an AMC fan, so I understand your liking of your CJ. I always wanted an Eagle 4x4 Wagon And I must kindly disagree with you and end this argument before the mods start getting into it too. Thank you for not attacking me personally, and I apologize for seeming like a royal jerk. Twitch
  6. Sweet find! That would make an amazing drift car or a sweet restoration project. That's so cool, I would love to have one of those... Twitch
  7. Is it creepy to say I love you? That is exactly what I thought when he thought his little Nissan could out work an S-10 with a vortec 4.3 I have no qualms with Nissan, they build a decent car and a decent truck, and one #3!! of a sports car. But their trucks can't match up to Chevy for working capability. Twitch
  8. Have you replaced your fuel filter? Since you said you usually travel at lower speeds, your high speed run may have churned up the gunk at the bottom of your tank. It very well may have clogged up your fuel filter or if the filter is after the pump, ruined you fuel pump. And the leak by your water pump may be the cause for the burning coolant smell and the over heating. Also, your high speed run may have jarred (shaken and beaten) your wheel bearings to the point that they are going away on you. Twitch
  9. Nope, but I wouldn't doubt if they exist. It seems pretty standard that manufacturers have their label on everything they get their hands on. Twitch
  10. I got a new ignition coil and plugged my open EGR, and I must say, It is a LOT quieter. I'll be torturing it out at work (pizza delivery, lots of start, stop stuff) on Wednesday, 6/10. Wish me luck! Twitch
  11. Man I want one of those. And a special edition RX too... And a FF1 coupe... Sorry, I love my old subes... Twitch
  12. Hey JesZek, I can help with the post title. When you edit the first post, right above the main body box is the title box. Then just change what you want to change. And I don't want to sound like the sayer of doom, but it sounds like your sub blew its headgaskets. :-\ I don't know if its earthquake related, but it sounds just like a blown headgasket, stuttering, no power, and burning coolant. Twitch
  13. Tah Dah!!!! PIX! This setup should work for you. And that's electrical tape wrapped around the fuse and connecting wires. I cut a hole in the top of fusible link cover so the fuse stuck outside the box. Twitch PS: I'll post pictures of my box soon.
  14. For as rare as the car is, I say old school mostly stock option. It's nicer to see a stock restored car than a modified restored car (ask Bucky92) I say hot rod tune the engine and eek as much HP as you can out of it without destroying it, and keep the stock configuration. You should be able to find a 3AT that will work with an EA71. They are out there. Twitch
  15. You're in the forum good sir. I recommend searching specifically under the historic forum for your model (it'll be under the "advanced search" option.) And congrats on finding such a rare car! Take good care of her! Twitch
  16. So basically you need RX axles... Or any turbo axle from after 1980, right? Twitch
  17. I don't have the seats yet, he still has to bring them back when he picks up the BRAT.

  18. The brat sale went well.

I sold it for $400 plus jumper seats and a bracket, and a set of sandblasted painted BRAT wheels.

  19. All you need are a few chunks of 10 gauge wire, 4, 1/2 wide spade clips, and a compatible fuse. I'll take pics of mine an upload them tomorrow. Twitch
  20. I'm actually trying to scan in a pattern that I would like to see photoshopped onto the new Outback. But my FREAKING scanner wont work! Twitch
  21. Me too!!! I'll have to work on the accent and the eh's but maybe we could be roomies! jk TSJ. But I hate the stupid lockdown the US government has on JDM vehicles. Stupid skylines... Twitch
  22. Don't forget that toyota is dabbling in subaru now. And I have noticed a trend of gawd awful quantities of chrome on the new toyota's as well. And poo. I think the designers at subaru have lost their minds. They need to come up with some sort of new design, not recycle everyone else's. Twitch
