  1. Do a search. There are write ups on this. Basically it's easy to bolt on the intake etc. but then of course it gets a little more complicated with the wiring. You have to wire in the computer for the SPFI, which means you have to basically build a harness that combines the EA81 and EA82! Search for it and you should find plenty of info! I love mine!!
  2. Try automotivetouchup.com I have dealt with them a few times and they have a lot of factory paint colors
  3. My opinion is to find a good EA81 with a 4spd dual range hooked to it from a 2nd generation car and swap it all in! That would solve the problem of turning bigger tires!!
  4. they all fit on the hub but there is a certain style that needs special tires. Instead of a 15" it is a weird measurement(I can't remember exactly) Just make sure you look at the wheels and if they have a mm measurement than they are the ones that aren't worth having.
  5. NAPA is the only one that has gotten it right for me
  6. honestly the rear diff is usually forgotten and I've seen many that have close to 300,000 on them and never been checked. I have only seen one ever go bad, and that was one that was rebuilt by someone that shouldn't have been touching a car! The front diffs probably should get checked. There's a dipstick to check the level, so its easy. And There would be a lot more wear on the front IMO. But if you don't see any leakage, they are probably just fine!
  7. Still shouldn't be all that hard. If you can manage to get those parts than the work putting them on is easy! And it sounds like a cheap runner to me!
  8. Have you tried different angles etc. with the nozzle? I know sometimes with certain pumps on mine I have to actually hold the nozzle out a little bit and then it flows fine. Or either that your breather hose is plugged?
  9. If you can find the parts, It wouldn't be very expensive at all! Are they parts that you could find near you? It's all pretty easy stuff to fix, and 1300 sounds like a decent price especially with all the recent work!
  10. That's pretty much it......there shouldn't be any input shaft play, or very little! Make sure all the plugs and sensors etc are there. unless it's a lot of oil leakage, don't be afraid. I have never seen one that isn't leaking a little. I just brought my spare home today and it's a low mileage one and it's leaking some. Make sure you get the shift linkage etc, as well! And interior trim!
  11. Man that thing looks so good! And man it's so early there still! It's 8:24 here! And theres 2' of snow on the ground
  12. So just a question, but should you always re torque the headgaskets on an EA81 after replacing them?
  13. Looks like fun! I like your sedan too!
  14. Yeah usually anything like that would be "rusted to the door handles" And I still wouldn't be able to buy it for anything less than a couple hundred!
  15. I bet it just needs to be adjusted. Both of my Impreza's have needed adjusting
  16. My EA82 radiator is all bolted in my Brat. Why don't you just fit it in permanantly
  17. yeah I'm with you, I've never seen NGK's cost that much! Good luck with the champions! They might have been alright years ago, but I have heard nothing but bad stuff about them in a long time! Unless like I said they are used in a lawn mower!
  18. Yup! I know what you mean. Check any junk yard that are near you.
