  1. Yeah I tried a cap off of another car and it still did the same thing. And the cap that I tried still works fine on the car that I tried it from! So I'm guessing mine is all head gaskets:-\
  2. I'd stick with the EA82 radiator! Thats what I have and I love it!!
  3. You'll be able to get most parts from the store. I still go to NAPA and get any "new" parts I need. But obviously when it comes to body parts and trim etc. you'll have to search for that.
  4. Yeah my step-dad comes to Texas every year and goes wild boar hunting! Really good meat!!
  5. When and if your brake lines fail always remember that your e brake is mechanical and will stop you very well!
  6. Nope I think the lengths vary, it depends on where they bolt through the water pump.
  7. or I bet if you even tried sealing it up with some exhaust sealer stuff that might work
  8. I have the same thing happening in my RS. I guess it's has something to do with the headgaskets. But also check the radiator cap
  9. I've used bars leak with good results. I wouldn't use it as a permanent fix but it seems to work pretty good
  10. Looks pretty good! You gonna paint it? The lowrider graphics are cool!
  11. Nope it's just straight back and forth. You might not have it. If you have the EA81 motor, it wouldn't be too difficult to swap a dual range in. A 4 spd dual range would be a direct swap, but with a little more work you could put a 5 spd dual range! Take some pics, maybe we could tell if it's dual range or not.
  12. I'm sure someone can get you one. If I had one or could get one, I'd hook you up.
  13. That's ok it's all the same shifter. If it has dual range the first "click" will be 4WD hi and then the second will be 4WD lo, or something along those lines(I know its a little different in Gen 1 cars)
  14. There would be a sticker next to the 4WD lever that said dual range. I think if you have the 1800 motor than it should be dual range. Not positive though. If you only have single range than you will have a very hard time on trails especially if you put large tires on.
  15. My Brat is a daily driver in the summer. I just calculate how many miles to the gallon and how much my tank holds. Yeah I guess junk yard would be the best bet. I couldn't find a new one.
  16. I think that someone knows who the original owner is. The gas guage is most likely the sending unit on the tank. Mine is the same way. The only guage in mine that works is the temp. Other than that I have no gas or oil guage, they stopped working and I don't care to fix
  17. Iridiums is actually what they recommend in the 2.5 motors. But that's probably just because it's a PITA to change them!
  18. Keep in mind the time zones...that might make a difference
  19. I personally wouldn't run anything over a 27" tire. I can't remember does your Brat have dual range? That will be a limiting factor on tire size as well
  20. Yeah I know all about it! Salt and calcium chloride being sprayed on the roads in the winter time....That's why I don't drive my Brat in the winter!
  21. What would they come out of? Do you know?
