  1. I've seen a lot of people using the weber. I personally have the fuel injection conversion done to my Brat so I can't help with specifics
  2. The Brat/ EA81 does not have a timing belt or chain, it is all internal gear driven.
  3. Lookin good! So did she make it home under her own power? And any new news on the tranny?
  4. I haven't registered yet either. I'm still trying to figure out if I'm coming down alone or not.
  5. I can get one for about 125 before shipping but mysteriousXTC has first dibs on it. If he passes then I can get it for you.
  6. These write ups bug the crap out of me! It seams like they all have about the same amount of useful and factual information about the car....which isn't really any! They do a very slight amount of research, and then throw in their own opinions, which most of the time are from people that no little or nothing about cars! It's too bad because it then gives others bad impressions about the car!
  7. 84 and 85 Brats are the same as far as parts go, so it should be fine to ask for either year
  8. Yeah it was well below zero here last night and now it is only 10 above. There were a few places in Maine that hit -30 to -40 below last night with out any wind!!!
  9. Yeah I think you'll have to drill holes and through bolt the rear differential stuff!
  10. Sounds pretty much right! And you will keep learning, this place is full of knowledge!!
  11. Looks good Brian! Can't wait to see the progress!
  12. I had a 4500 on my Brat and it always worked effortlessly to pull me out, and even a HD 3/4 ton GMC once! But yes it was a little heavy
  13. Thats the actual strut bolt and I'm sure there is just a nut on it that you can't quite see in the pic
  14. BFG makes a decent truck tire, not a mud terrain but an all terrain. And there is always super swampers! In 14"
  15. You also have to keep in mind that while yes, sometimes you can get away with hauling some decent sized things for short distances, a Brat is still not a truck! It is a car in every way except for the fact that it has a SMALL bed
