  1. They will be a direct bolt in for that year legacy, or any 95-99 legacy.
  2. You could always change the color of the wheels too, definitely changes the look and makes it look less like all the other subaru wagons.
  3. Yeah timing is definitely on where it needs to be. We did have the heads off, but didn't touch the valves or anything, and it ran perfect literally hours before resealing it. We've spent hours and hours going through everything that it could be. I have a fair amount of knowledge when it comes to Subarus, but my friend who owns a garage, is known as the Subaru Guru in the area. He works on these cars every day and can't figure it out.
  4. Oh I wasn't aware that all girls were the same! My sister loved when she lifted her forester and put bigger tires on it. And subaru wagon does not = grandma.
  5. The wagon will not always be "grandma" lol. Come on. Just do some of the things we've suggested, and it'll be seen completely different. There is always the lift and bigger tires route too. All depends on what she's into.
  6. Wheels, tint, hatch spoiler, maybe a front lip from ebay. You can definitely make a wagon look sportier.
  7. Removed the silencers and swapped a known good intake manifold off a running car. Still does the same thing. There is literally nothing else left to try with this set up.
  8. Upload them to a hosting site like photobucket or a similar site, then copy the image code and paste it here.
  9. you need to put your rear top hats on the rear struts. Other than that, they bolt on. But if you just want to run the outback wheels, they will fit just fine with a smaller size tire.
  10. Fel pro gaskets are not recommended for the 2.5 motor. Oem or six star are the way to go.
  11. I can buy a brand new short block for $1800 from my local dealer. I can have my Subaru guy rebuild a motor for a grand. I just hate dealer prices. The warranty part is great, but that price is outrageous. Definitely cheaper than replacing the car, but there's no reason to do that anyway, it's just the head gaskets that failed. But like I said, if you're happy with it, that's all that matters.
  12. Those aren't fuel pressure regulators, they are just silencers so to speak. But they will be removed soon enough, at least the one in the feed line. Just haven't worked on it in a few weeks. But the fuel pressure has been tested, and tested good, so I dunno.
  13. Could always swap an EA81 into your car!
  14. Yeah why not have the head gaskets replaced? You'd be smart to do that to any other motor before it's installed anyway.
  15. It only goes on one way. The holes that the flywheel bolts go through, only line up one way.
  16. A lot of it is to blame on crappy aftermarket axles.

  18. A friend of mine just got the new Milwaukee 18v cordless 1/2" impact gun. It has 1100 lb ft of torque! its a monster. The old one only had 475. The bare tool goes for $200. The old one went for $150.
  19. El headers and a different muffler will just make it sound like every Honduh out there.
  20. You will not notice a power difference between an UEL header and an ul header on an N/A car. It's only noticeable on a turbo car WITH a tune. Just putting a different muffler on won't give you rumble. It'll give you noise, but not rumble. If you want the subaru rumble, you need the UEL header.
  21. I want one of those steering wheels! Looks awesome.
  22. Not really any need to add extra camber adjustment with that set up. It will be well within spec if you get it aligned.
  23. He unfortunately doesn't make lifts anymore.
