  1. That's actually amusing because Subaru cats aren't really worth that much for scrap compared to other vehicle makes. And it's unfortunate that you have to worry about thieves everywhere you go.
  2. The intake manifold has to match the heads. The bolt pattern is different between the EJ22 and the EJ25. Use all EJ22 except for the block, and head gaskets.
  3. Could you send me pics to bratman2011@yahoo.com please?

  4. Yeah just swap in a set of strut assemblies from a regular Legacy, or even any 02-07 WRX strut assembly would bolt in as well. That will lower it a good 2.5" and then you will need smaller tires, and that will lower it even more. You don't need to worry about removing the body spacers. Just get an alignment as you would after normally changing struts, and you're good to go.
  5. Cool. Never knew that japan had the dual ranges EJ cars. But it would make sense.
  6. A dual range EJ trans from Japan?
  7. Unfortunately I have no pics of it at all. But I would think it would be a trial and error thing. Put the tranny in place, and then cut/weld what needs to be, to make it shift in and out of 4WD. I wish I had pics of how mine looked. I don't think much had to me changed.
  8. The EA81 4WD shifters can be modified to work. That's what was done in my BRAT. It looked completely factory from the inside.
  9. To get the same offset, you will want wheels from an Outback or Forester. The Impreza, or regular Legacy models will have an offset that sets the wheel in towards the vehicle more, and you may have more clearance issues. The 225 60 16 tire comes on the 2000-04 Outbacks from the factory, so they should fit just fine on your Forester, but they are taller and wider, so using the correct offset wheel, is probably a good idea.
  10. I know STi is an upgrade for most, but I'm not sure how much of an upgrade it is.
  11. If they had that style, it was swapped on. It's not a problem either way, just wanted to make sure he had the right info.
  12. I've always wanted an older Legacy turbo. And damn! You got a steal on that one!
  13. Just FYI, that is a wagon or hatch fuel door. The brat fuel door was flush with the body, and the same color as the body, and had a little round knob to turn to open it. Looks like a sweet project! Looking forward to seeing it done!
  14. What would you want for the rear strut assemblies you just put in? Sucks that you're scrapping it, but sometimes, it's the right thing to do.
  15. Hmmmmm. I really don't need them, but if you wanted to check on shipping to 04348, let me know.
  16. What are those wheels? They almost look like they're 14's.
  17. Subaru Guru on here did that swap. He put the whole XT6 front crossmember into an EA82 car. He has a journal on the build somewhere, but I can't remember where. I think it was the one he put the twin turbo EJ20 in.
  18. Glad you made a journal! That pedal box is a pain to get out. I actually removed the steering column to get it out. Might not HAVE to, but it made it a lot easier. Good luck with it!
  19. Where did you order the KYB's? And did you just order them for a 92 Loyale?
  20. Lol it certainly can be a toss up. All depends on if you go too far, and what you have for a set up.
  21. 1998 Forester S 2" Home made lift 215 70 16 tires a bunch of other stuff
