  1. There's a bunch of info on here, but yeah they need to be redrilled. More like milled so the holes line up.
  2. Could be unbalanced wheels too. Looks awesome!
  3. My 98 Forester only unlocks the drivers door. No matter how many times you push the button. It's annoying.
  4. Let.me know if you just want a good used switch.
  5. Use an ea82 flywheel that's machined and redrilled to bolt onto the ej22. Use the full ea82 clutch kit and flywheel to match the 5spd dual range.
  6. That has to be one of the best bob jobs I've seen. Awesome job with all of it.
  7. 98-08 Forester struts will fit. The rear top hat needs to be swapped from your struts, or drill new holes. Fronts bolt right in. 03-08 will have a higher rear spring perch so fit larger tires. You'll want the trailing arm bracket from an outback or block yours down to recenter your rear tires in the wheel well.
  8. Coilovers that I've used, do go higher than stock. But with no suspension travel it defeats the purpose. Regular impreza struts won't be much different than stock wrx. You shouldn't put forester springs or forester king springs on stock impreza or wrx struts. The struts will top out often and cause the struts to wear out quickly. You may be able to just bolt in forester strut assemblies from the same year. You can also look into a lift kit. Anderson Design and Fabrication makes good ones that can fit your car.
  9. .....have the read with an obd2 diagnostic reader through the obd2 diagnostic port.
  10. What did you end up doing for the cv shafts and the 5 lug swap?
  11. I've never gone for the high mileage oil change intervals whether they say it's ok or not. 3-4k tops in my opinion. But anyway, I'd disconnect the sway bar all together and see if the noise goes away. Then you know if it is or isn't the sway bar or endlinks.
  12. You should rotate your tires every 5000 miles or 2 oil changes anyway.
  13. I went through a fair amount of those old alternators, so I always kept a spare in the rear storage tray just in case. Hope you made it home safely.
  14. My 98 Forester S 2" front, 2.5" rear ADF lift Yakima loadwarrior roof basket Factory rush guard Rockblockz mud flaps JDM front grille 215 70 16 Grabbers Painted oem wheels with 1" spacers Trailer hitch JDM STi carbon fiber upper strut brace
  15. That looks nice. I have a weber that I want to put on my brat, but I need to come up with an adapter plate.
  16. Man I wish I could go to that show.
  17. Of course, but most coil overs have stiff springs and don't allow suspension travel. So yeah you can do it, but it wouldn't perform well.
  18. I had my brat lifted 3", with a 5spd swap, and I never had to touch the linkage or the driveshaft.
  19. EBay and amazon knock sensors are fine. They work well and last just as long as the more expensive ones.
  20. The biggest difference between the 98-02 and the 03-08 forester struts are the 03-08 has a higher rear sing perch to allow bigger tire fitment. But yes, any 98-08 strut will boot in, no drilling. The trailing arm bracket isn't a must for is talking on a legacy, but it will help recenter the rear wheel. Those would come from a 96-99 outback. Wheel spacers are up to you. You may be able to fit a bigger tire with them, but you'll probably need to do more trimming to get them to fit without rubbing.
  21. Any parts store carries these, or can order them. There's no way to regrease the bearings without taking stuff apart. Might as well just put new ones in and make sure they're well greased before installing.
