  1. I know that many are different widths for sure, I am just saying that at the very least 03-8 Foresters have the same track width as 04-07 STi's, I am not positive about the regular Imprezas of that year range. Yes I compared them side by side and they were EXACTLY the same, no difference at all. That's why I figured putting the newer style lateral links into my GC platform 98 Forester, would give it a slightly wider stance in the rear and kick the bottom of the tire out a bit.
  2. Lol, I guarantee my lift is no better than yours. Mine is home made and VERY simple! But sounds like there is some other good advice in here for ya! I was just throwing that out there.
  3. My 05 STi aluminum lateral links are the same exact length as the stock Forester XT lateral links I took off. Forester is the same exact platform as the Impreza.
  4. Well the STi lateral links are the same width as a Forester XT, and I'm assuming other GD models as well. So I guess I could swap lateral links with a newer model. I already have my stock Forester XT rear axles that will go right in.
  5. I don't have any sounds with my 2" lifted 98 Forester. My guess is a tire.
  6. Yeah I know I can smash it a bunch and have things fit. But even a camber correct strut top lift would have caused issues with them hitting. Brian, or Ioku, is there any chance you could post a link for the lateral links you guys have? And in your experience, did they help with the camber issue? Thanks guys And sorry for the high jack, just figured I'd ask you in your thread, where some of the info was posted!
  7. Yeah I wondered about that. The only reason I was thinking about it was because if I add camber bolts in the rear, the inner part of the lower spring perch on the strut will hit the body. So I was just looking for a way to get the bottom of the tire out to help with the camber.
  8. What is the asking price? It has low miles, and if the body is solid that is a huge plus.
  9. Not bad for flux core and sheet metal.
  10. Hey Brian, I was thinking about getting a set of those adjustable lateral links to correct the camber issues I have with the lift on my 98 Forester. How far do you have yours adjusted out? Is there still enough "play" in the cv axle travel? I just would hate to adjust them out and have the cv axles fail because they don't have enough travel in the cup. Thanks
  11. I'm sure it's been mentioned but you can use the newer style tensioner on the older motor just by swapping the mounting blocks. I did this on that motor I changed in my moms car. Very easy to do.
  12. Almost positive the rotors are different sizes. They were when I upgraded to dual piston calipers.
  13. I'm a little late to this, but I had that mirror on my 86 BRAT, and it still had it when I sold it. And as for the EA81 with 5 spd D/R, I loved mine. But I did have the fuel injection swap too, so that helped a bit. Nice car, take your time with it, and do it right, and it'll come out great!

  15. I have been hearing good things about those, so is that the way to go now?
  16. You can use the cat back, but you need to have the mid pipe lengthened and the flange rotated to have it bolt up to the stock exhaust.
  17. I definitely recommend it. For the price it can't be beat. It's actually very secure and solid on the car.
