  1. Haha that's awesome!! Yeah a lot of people just look at it, like wtf?!? But I love it! I can fit tons of stuff in it, and go real fast at the same time:lol:
  2. Thanks!! Yeah it goes real good, and handles awesome with the WRX struts/STi springs combo. And no more wheelies when I gun it!! I will soon be going stage 1 for now, and then in the spring, I have a set of Forester STi wheels being held for me, and I'll get a down pipe and go stage 2!!! Can't wait
  3. Pics of the new ride height Let me know if you can't see the pics
  4. Bearings are easy to replace. I don't have the special tool, but I just use a hammer and punch, it's always worked for me
  5. To answer the original question, the newer turbo 2.5's are pretty solid motors. The ones in the Bajas and the Legacy GT's have a problem with the main bearing slowly going, which usually causes the turbo to fail first and then later on the bearing finally goes. As for the N/A 2.5's, yes they have hg issues. And I have seen MANY go at 50k and also see MANY go at 70k, so it's the fact that you never know when they are gonna start leaking that sucks!! A HG failure at 50k miles on a Subaru would rub me the wrong way, and it did!! I won't own another. I took the gamble and lost. Yes they aren't hard to change, if you have the tools and know-how, but if you don't, it's very expensive.
  6. Now I got WRX struts with STi springs!! It sits a lot lower and handles a lot better!! It also doesn't squat so much in the back when you get on it. I'll get more pics when my wife gets back from Arizona with the camera!!
  7. Here is a pic of my old RS, it's not finished, the new owner plans on bigger tread, and skid plates. Right now it just has Forester struts on it
  8. That's cool. I have a friend that made a custom lift arm on the front of his 96 GMC diesel pick up. It hooks up to the plow gear and works great.
  9. Awesome!! I sooooo want to do this o mine!!! I just need a whole bunch of parts!! Keep us updated!
  10. I will unfortunately be gone this weekend, and most of next:-\ But after next weekend, I will be free for a week, my wife and daughter are taking a trip, so maybe sometime that week?!?! I'd love to get some decent pics!! And I can take you for a spin as well:grin:

  12. So I finally got some pictures....Finally! So far I have a K&N Typhoon Short Ram intake, Seibon STi carbon fiber hood scoop, custom front grille, Vibrant cat-back exhaust, STi front plate delete, and STi rear sway bar (installed tonight). http://www.mainelysubarus.com/forums/album.php?albumid=88
  13. Congrats!! It definitely deserved it!! Nice car and great job!!
  14. Well Now I have a Vibrant cat-back exhaust installed and an STi rear sway bar waiting to be installed. I know, no pics, I will try soon!!!
  15. Unless the tranny was installed improperly, or there is a problem with the clutch etc. it would not hinder the motor at all. Sounds like another issue. Was the 5 spd completely installed?
  16. Very nice!! STi hood scoop, I just put a carbon fiber one on my FXT!!
  17. Go my STi hood scoop tonight!! It looks great. If the rain holds out this weekend I'll get some pics
  18. Mine has somewhere around 265,xxx!! Nice Brat!!
