  1. Looks similar to the one I had. Take care of that rust before it gets worse, cause we all know it does and will!! That would be awesome with an EJ!! Good find
  2. Man, again I wish these things were closer. I mean, compared to most things, this is much closer, but I just can't make it. I'd still love to come down and meet you guys, and what a treat it would be to meet Turbone!! All the way from the west! Hope you guys have a great time, and maybe next year after I get some vacation time on the books, I can make it down to one of the meets!!
  3. When I used a 1" spacer on my Brat, used a OB steering shaft, it fit perfect. I dunno if it will be different because it's a Loyale or not.
  4. This is awesome!! I have wanted to do an upgrade to my alt but didn't want to deal with more modifying, this looks real easy!! Great work and thanks for sharing.
  5. You need to post in the wanted section
  6. The head gaskets are not different between the earlier ones and the later ones. I ordered 86 head gaskets for my 83 engine and they fit fine and have not leaked a drop
  7. That's why I swapped an EA81 into mine. I will eventually do EJ but money was an issue right now
  8. 1/4 up the gauge sounds perfect for me. Every Loyale I've had runs at 1/4. That's why I recently was worried about my car getting warmer than that. But I'd say you are right where you need to be
  9. You don't touch the rear diff at all. You simply drop down the rear struts. You rotate the rear strut tops 180* and then bolt them up with the little angle blocks. Leave the diff as is
  10. yes, there is lots of info here about that swap. Do a search and will find!!
  11. Yeah I used an Outback one when I lifted my Brat
  12. Are the tires all the same size? Or are the wearing the same?
  13. The two long rectangular pieces space down the front cross member, and then 4 angle pieces are for the rear struts, you spin the rear strut top around and they bolt right up. He spaces the front cross member down a bit to give the axles more room to move so they don't hit at all. You would have to extend you steering shaft a bit for this.
  14. I like the looks of the one that gos up, but what about somehow putting some outward angle on it, ya know, kind of push bar style. Looks great by the way, very nice work!
  15. Yeah that's not good!! I had one come apart when I was backing out of my driveway!! I was lucky
  16. So it was the radiator. I took the Loyale radiator out of my Brat and swapped it in and it doesn't get hot at all anymore!! Thanks to all again!!
  17. I have one. They aren't great and I too am used to using a Lincoln, but it has worked well for several little projects for me. I also really wish they hadn't made the wire hot at all times and an internal fan would have been awesome!!
  18. Thanks for the explanation, and no offense taken. Sounds like BS to me, hope you guys get stuff straightened out. Sounds like they are kind of snobbish to me.
  19. Your antennae is on the drivers side? Hmm, O guess they must have changed that at some point because mine is on the passenger side
  20. Agreed!!! +100 I wasn't trying to rule the small stuff out, but as we all know, the HG's seem to follow a pattern of failure. And the SOHC 2.5 in the 2000 is basically the same motor as in his '05. Good luck and hopefully those items that were fixed were the problems!!! Keep us posted
  21. Awesome!! We never find anything like that around here, the rust always gets it
  22. Yeah I do plan on getting a new one soon.
