  1. GD, I think he is planning on a custom setup where he plans on bolting up the whole drivetrain from the legacy/Impreza to the Brat body. Which will entail some custom brackets and what not
  2. I too have done it a few times, but I did it on a lift, it was much easier but that thing is still VERY heavy!! Good luck, hopefully you got it!!
  3. Well there won't be a huge difference in gas mileage, but when your Brat is in 4WD it is not AWD! It will not drive well at all on tar and will make things wear very quickly, so that's not really an option you have, unless you somehow swap in a different tranny that is actually all wheel drive and not four wheel drive
  4. Mines on the way!!! Can't wait to install it. And I will let everyone know how well it works!! I'm sure it will be great, as it seems Bill has done a great job on it!! Thanks Bill
  5. So, what happened? Did someone cause trouble or are the people that run the event causing trouble? Sounds like Volvos were involved:lol: Anyways, I would love to meet up with you people at some time in the future and if it means not going to Carlisle, than so be it. But it would be cool to know what happened.
  6. Looks and sounds like you guys had fun. Wish I could have made it:-\ Hopefully next year. So what was the excitement that happened last night?
  7. There is lots of info on here about this, try using the search function. But no the driveshafts are not the same, you will need the driveshaft from the donor car with the 5 spd. Then you will need to make a center bearing mount for that driveshaft. Also the tranny crossmember as well, then you'll need to combine the two tranny crossmembers to make one that will fit the 5 spd tranny onto the car. Also, you'll need to change the shift linkage. Show us some pics of your car!!
  8. That looks great! Nice job. That bumper really makes it shine!!
  9. I have a set of the round STD headlights that came with a conversion kit from Monstaru. They seem to work great, they are much brighter than stock that's for sure, and they aren't sealed beam so you can change the actual bulb
  10. I read my computer on my 2000 RS and got these codes back. P1100 which is MAF intermediate, and P1445 which is Diagnostic Module Tank Leakage, Pump Control Circuit Signal Low. Can someone tell me what the heck these mean? I have no clue and have never heard of the second one. Thanks!
  11. Awesome!! My Brat had shaved heads like that before I bought it, it had somewhere around 120 horse just from that!!! I wanted to do it but I just haven't. I bet there is a big difference. Nice job!! I want some more pics of your Brat!!

  13. Ahhh, so you're the one that got that from Zap. Nice!!! Can't wait to hear how it goes once it's in the car!!
  14. Like the other person said, have you alt rebuilt, it will cost a lot less, I had mine rebuilt for about 40 bucks.
  15. I thought all 2.o were turbo and came in WRX's. I knew they came in cars in other country's but I thought in the U.S. they were all turbos
  16. Sweet! You da man! I completely understand you got other stuff first, lemme know! Thanks
  17. Yeah I know that's the tricky part. But the EA82 motor that's in my new sedan smokes bad, and I have a spare EA81 that runs great and would pretty much drop in without much being done to it. So if I had a bracket that I could just slap on that would allow me to bolt up the EA82 power steering pump and have SPFI, that would be awesome!! So let me know and PM me about a price, maybe we can work something out with those couple parts you want as well!! Thanks!! Oh, and Bill, I know you're busy, but I could use this ASAP.
