Motorcyles, what are you riding?
bratman18 replied to Slacker's topic in Non Soob Cars and Bikes Discussion
Yup, the only bike I'm riding is a Kona Cindercone. -
I still don't understand how any one runs such huge tires on stock drive train! My Brat has 26's on it and it is def starved for power and is hard on the clutch
-
You won't get that camber fixed with an alignment. It is also hard on your front axles. The best way to go would be to install a full lift kit.

I always lightly take a scotch brite pad on my cordless drill and take all the corrosion off. Then I take a light coat of never seize and apply that to the wheel where it meets the hub. It seems to work pretty well and lasts quite a while. And the best part is no more alloy wheels loosening up after time, and you don't ever have to retorque them like a lot of people say to do.

Carlise May 15-17th the East Coast Meet
bratman18 replied to moosens's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Well I still want to make it, but not completely sure I can. I have a lot going on. I got a new job, I watch my daughter every night after work so that my wife can work, and I still have not registered my Brat or the new car yet. So I don't want to register a car for the show until I am positive I can make it. Believe me I want to!!! There are just no more old school Subaru people around me anymore and I'd really like to come meet you guys and actually talk with people that have the same interest in cars as I do!! I'll do my best, I just don't want to say I'll be there and then have it not work out. -
I think the tires I have kicking around are 235 60 15's. They aren't super tall but they will give a few extra inches and they are pretty wide as well. I'm putting those on my 15" Pug alloys.
-
I certainly did not notice anything.
-
Take it off, it does help a little and you won't notice it too much at all on the road.
-
^Mother of god! That is just plain scary!!^

Yeah, I saw that you guys had issues with the block in the rear, so I used flat bar instead. I still want to run a brace across the face of the flat bar. But it will be fine for now. I can't wait to get my wheels and tires mounted up!!
-
Alright so a.little bit of an update. I have it all lifted now. I just did a 2". I used flat bar in the rear, and I used blocks in the front. It still has the little stock tires on it right now,but I will soon be putting my 15" Pug alloys on it with some bigger tires. Here are some pics!! I want to thank TheBeastIDrive for a bunch of interior parts, Jibs for the rear discs that I will be eventually installing, and Thecarman for the GL-10 trunk spoiler.

Alright, here are some pics! It still has the little tires on it, but that should soon change. And here is a pic of the actual lift blocks in the front
-
I'll get some soon:grin: I promise
-
I just did this lift on my new sedan!! It works great and it's incredibly easy to make and especially install! I didn't even need to remove the strut!! Just drop the top down, and then put block in from the top and bolt in place, all from the top!! Thanks for the idea!! I'll post pics soon in my other thread
-
I work in my driveway as well. I do have a shed with all my tools and spare parts in it, but yup, I use a piece of plywood to lie on and usually still end up getting muddy and dirty. Doesn't stop me though
-
Very nice!! I like the camo a lot. Looks real good. Nice shop too!

I made one as well for an EA82. I used a steel rod with a steel cylinder that slid on the rod, with a flat piece on the end to keep the cylinder on the rod. I then welded two axle nuts on the end and those thread on the axle and then you just slide the weight and pull the new axle through the hub!
