  1. Hmm, I didn't know you got banned. Good that your back!! Glad to hear your Brat is back up and running!!! So did you run into any trouble, or did everything go pretty smoothly?
  2. If you mean a oil filter wrench, they make one that bends straight down so it fits in tight areas. I have one and it works great. I'm sure a lot of them do that. I would think it would fit, but I guess you might just have to try it first. Or maybe someone else has already tried and will chime in. Good luck!!
  3. They should fit. Most of the newer oil filters are a lot smaller and there was a recent thread on this. All in all, it's the same basic motor that has been in there all along so they should all fit eachother
  4. All my Subarus leak oil. Even when I replace seals etc. they start leaking soon after, and that's the way every Suby I've seen is. Natural rust proofing for the front end:lol:. I have to take that back, my Brat is freshly resealed and isn't leaking yet, but I also have no driven it much yet, so just give it time!
  5. That's what I was thinking! If I had some spare parts I'd send 'em your way. It wouldn't take much to make it look complete again.
  6. I have a 28v Milwaukee Sawzall that I love!! Has tons of power, long battery life and with a decent blade will eat through anything!! I would highly recommend it!
  7. You don't have to do anything to those fittings. Tranny fluid flows in there and since you don't have an auto, there will be nothing flowing through those. At the same time, if you wanted to plug them you could
  8. IIRC just put the ones that reach, to where they reach to. Yeah that was a little confusing. That should work though. Unless someone jumps in with a pic though
  9. Like I said, the plugs are in a slightly different location because they changed the heads
  10. What are the wheels in the second pic?
  11. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/20-CHROME-LUG-NUTS-SUBARU-BAJA-FORESTER-BRAT-SAAB-9-2X_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a317Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a0Q7c293Q3a3Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem120393273242QQitemZ120393273242QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
  12. There is a difference in the heads. You'll notice the plugs are located differently between the two(or mine was). 97 and up is interference I believe
  13. $100! That's a good deal. I'd love to have a set of these. They are always so expensive
  14. Diagnostic machine for coolant loss? Not necessary. Try to get pics of the old motor and the crack etc.
  15. Also, whenever you hit anything in the trail that sticks up at all, the tire will catch harder than usual and rip the steering wheel from your hands.
  16. he posted it in his off topic thread
  17. Start welding, it will melt a little and quickly brush it off with a wire brush. That's what I've always done
  18. either McBrat or Pooparu can do these for ya. I know that McBrat does a great job, he's done a few for me
  19. I would go with KYB GR2's. I have never had good luck with the Monroes, they seem to fail quickly, but the KYB's should last several more years
