    That things awesome!
  2. You should be fine, takes a serious impact to mess with one of those sensors, although if it is water damaged you will want to pull the fuse and/or disconect the airbags as airbag deployment timing could be off now if you were to get into an accident it could hurt you as aibags deploy at approx 300 mph. And yes these parts are expensive, if you have a deployment of the airbags in a car you generally have to replace the airbags, steering column "clockspring", sensors, and module (depends on manufacture recomendations) I hope this helps, a little advice from your freindly usmb lurker body shop guy.
  3. OMG!!! I am sooooooo jealous between that REPU and the Z car and others!!! Those are awesome cars!!!
  4. I replaced the rad and water pump yesterday, now Im drivin it. Its a nice little car.
  5. Thanks for the complements guys. Its got a little rust in the rear quarters but nothing serious, I cleaned it up today, its pretty nice lookin now, and took it for a spin. Found the leak in the radiator, not fixable, and that the water pump is on its way out, no biggie, and adjusted the carb. I have to say I'm likin it, its a great little car especially considering it was free. More pics lol
  6. I picked it up today from the original owner, its been sitting since 2004. 2TC engine, 5 Speed, RWD, Deluxe model, a $20 junkyard battery, a squirt of starting fluid, some fresh gas, and she fired right up and drove out of the woods and right up onto the trailor. Here's some pics, a deep cleaning is first on the list, then the radiator it suposedly needs, and any other little things. Just figured I would share my little non sooby score. Now if only I could find a Brat like this.
  7. Nice lookin wagon, you should be a pro at head gaskets by now, Im assuming you own a K car by your name. IIRC its easiest to do the h/g with the engine out of the car on EA82's.
  8. Glad to have helped Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati (When all else fails play dead.)
  9. I didnt know anything happened to it, they still play it on my local cable acess chanel. Heres the website for those who dont know this show. http://www.redgreen.com/ And a peak at the "genious" of Red Green http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-Lnfpulwjc P.S.Sorry to totally hijack the thread
  10. He looks a lot like Red Green lol, and I am sooooo jealous of that straight rust free Toyota .
  11. The more I sse of that Sasquatch the more and more I like it, and that D-50 aint half bad either.
  12. And you have F.I. too right? Those are all options Im glad my DL doesnt have, I like my cars as basic as they come w/o all that power crap. Although D/R would be nice......
  13. Same here but All those wasted years of German!!!
  14. What RPMS does a 4 speed d/r EA81 run at: 60 MPH: 65 MPH: 70 MPH: 75 MPH: What is the redline of and EA81? What RPMS does a 5 speed s/r EA82 run at: 60 MPH: 65 MPH: 70 MPH: 75 MPH: What is the redline of and EA82? If you had a choice which car would you take on a trip from Western Washington to Southeastern Wyoming, assuming they both are in about the same average good condition and both are carbed and both have an equal amout of "stuff" in them, which would you take?
  15. Yeah, if you could take some pics of this for me that would be great.
