SoobieKoralli replied to Subeast-EA81's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
mmmm paintball and offroading, combined... If I could I SO would. 1. My soob isnt structurally sound and not set up for off road anyhow. 2. Not enough monies to buy gear and paintballs but it would be a friggin blast tho -

Subaru paintball tag sounds like fun, you would need one that body doesn't matter much. Those things DENT and hurt. I played on my little bro's 14th birthday, but that was quite a while ago. fun tho. -

For image or link posting: One: (for image only) the Image needs to have its own URL aka Website link, http://photobucket.com is great for that, it will give you direct links and its free to use! just copy the direct link then while you input your text in the box here at the top will be some buttons, click the yellowish one with two litlle mountain things in it. another window will pop up. paste your image link there. and thats it. If it is a link to the image only it should show when you finish entering your text and select 'SUBMIT REPLY' or whatever. to do a webpage link if you dont already know, to the left of the image button is a little globe (earth) with a chain link in front. click that and paste the URL to the website you want to link and TADA! -

Tires, tires and oh yeah, tires
SoobieKoralli replied to opus's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Ouch i'd be careful with that. Thats a 4.49% diamiter difference (if I am right that standard is 185/70R 13 Thats what my GL calls for I believe). Check out this website... http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp?action=submit Choose carefully. In the end it is up to you. -
welcome, nice rides. makes me jelous with my lil rust bucket I have goals for my FrankenSoob (legacy).

Heartless Madkow007 and I are here in central WI welcome! -
I will check it out thanks, but the main question is Can I convert (if the Manual is no good) the 2WD AT into an AWD at, by switching out the rear ends of the tranny's? Im probably getting the terminology wrong but Mom searched for anything telling us if its possible to keep the transmission it has but convert it to a AWD?

As you may have noticed, I am somewhat a Noob to Soobs. Regardless, I live with two VERY experienced Subaru owners. I inherited this car from my mother, an 89 GL Wagon with some pretty serious cancer. Mom named her Brunhilda. Her interior: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v603/amigari_rakurai/hildieint.jpg The next project for me... Because I am sure I will have to do most of the work (with guidance of course) since it is going to be my car, (and I don't really mind either) is my FrankenSoob. We have 3 Legacy Sedans. two 1990's and one '91. The going verdict is to Make one car from three out of the 91. The '91 was originally bought as a parts car for Madkow007's Legacy. It ran and drove from Illinois to Wisconsin. Mom and Madkow007 has since been borrowing parts for their Legacy's, (mom's is a wagon). STATS: 1991 Subaru Legacy LS, 2WD AT, Not running http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v603/amigari_rakurai/91int.jpg So far all it needs is: -put the interior back together -Fuel rails/ Injectors (as seen in Madkow's earlier post) -Rt front A-arm (Axle) -Shocks -Struts -Possible rear brakes need work then of course the standard oil, belts etc. I can then do some cosmetic work once summer rolls around. LEGACY A STATS:1990 Legacy, AT, AWD, Running, driving, Shifting hesitation above 35 MPH* (Contains Front Clip parts from Leg. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v603/amigari_rakurai/90int1.jpg *Owner siad that an 'o' ring is missing from transmission, will NOT accelerate above 35, tranny slips LEGACY B STATS: 1990* Legacy L, 5spd M, AWD, Parts Car ONLY *Owner claimed 1990, Tag on body says MFG 89. There was no paper for this one. I prefer a manual transmission. Is it possible to take the Manual from Legacy B and swap it into the 91 2WD AT? (If it is in good working order that is.) Although I can deal with an AT. Is it Possible to just make the AT into AWD from 2WD? what would I have to do? Any thoughts and tips will be welcome! Thanks, Koralli

OMG thats funny. Sometimes I wish it were that simple, but then again you have to wonder if slamming the door makes your car work, WTF is going on? -

Howdy, Im a newish user in Wisconsin. Welcome! -
I origianlly signed up on the 'temporary/transitional' server, AKA 'Playground'. And they weren't accepting new memberships then. I was told that I would have to re-sign up, I was not sad about that, just that if I was allowed one more letter during sign up, I could have had my original name.

Check and make sure all the electrical is firmly connected, (EG: Plugs, plug wires on both distributor and plugs, battery, coil ETC...) if its loose it can prevent a start up. -
When I went to Re-sign up, the letters admitted for a User Name was ONE LETTER SHORTER than the one I posted under before. So this IS 'DarkspearKoralli, I just had to change my name. In other news, we got the Second 90 legacy parts car, now we just have to figure out which of the three is going to be put BACK together for me to drive in place of Hildie. Hildie wont last another year with her cancer. One is missing a LOT of the front clip and parts from the engine, its more or less a 'parts car'. the first one we picked up is an AWD auto, w/ tranny problems but the prev owners said that the tranny is just missing an 'O' ring, i think its more. the thisrd was origanally bought as a parts car, but it was driven here. so yeah... 3 to chose. Im gonna call it Frankenstien or something.
