  3. hay i was looking at a 84 brat. it is all stock with the t tops, rear shell, push bar, rear seats. no rust, very clean. is 2000 way to much ?
  4. thanks for you opinion but i will stick with the ea81 and i am not trying to impress you or anyone else just sharing what i am doing
  5. wont the coil overs be to short with the 4" lift. can i buy longer coil overs from a aftermarket place ?
  6. thank you, i did as you said and welded and plated all the blocks on the tops only so i can still remove the cross members
  7. i fixed it . welded all the lift blocks on the tops only, installed steel plated all around the blocks, welded the tops. thanks for all the help
  8. so i removed the coil overs a while ago and put the longer ranchos on we added a 4" lift to the rear to level it out . now the rear diff seems low and the tires are angled. i can lift the rear very easily and the tires with straten out. what the heck is going on ? help !! i think my torsion bar is broke or a need a diff lift.
  9. i will go but we need to work on the SOBER 4x4 name
  10. thanks, i have new large valve heads that are on the way to delta cams for the works....... and a cam to match. its all going on a brand new ea81 short block, i hope to gain some hp just the head work is about 900.00, short block 1000.00 with hydro lifters .:banana:
  11. does CCR motors in Co have a web site, and thanks for all the help
  12. wow, thanks so much, that is awesome. can i gain some power with this set up, if so what can i expect.
  13. thank you all your your reply's you have all been very helpful. after all the input i decided on doing the spfi manifold from a ea82 and just put it on the ea81. i am building a 81e1 engine in the next few weeks with my tax return. i have a set of very nice ea81 large valve heads that are getting sent to delta cams for the works and a cam to match. i found a brand new in the crate ea81 short block in town but he wants 1000.00 for it, is this way to much ? also what kind of hp gain can i expect from getting from the spfi manifold. i also found a new in crate 2.2 turbo short block ! but its 1800.00 and i don't have the funds http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/pts/1005197373.html
  14. i found a 1996 xt with the ea82 mpfi. from what i understand this will bolt into my 1983 wagon and is the best way to gain power instead of trying to beef up my ea81 or going 2.2. he wants 250.00 including shipping to my door for the ea82 mpfi with a 1 year warranty, is that fair ? should i go with the ea82 mpfi or the e181 with the mpfi manifold or the 2,2 to many choices !
  15. is this a 2.7 H6 you are talking about that will fir where a ea81 goes ?
  16. i was wondering if it is passable to use a SPFI Intake Manifold on a ea81 and if so does it increase the hp ?
  17. if i want to buy a gen 1 lift who do i buy it from.
  18. thanks for the reply's, yes i need to lift the front. it has outback struts now.
  19. can i fit tribeca struts on a 1991 legacy. i know the stock tires are taller on the tribeca and the struts are longer r, will they mount to the knuckles.
  20. is a 1985 4WD Turbo RX a good car, my friend has one for sale, it has cool checker stock seats and a 5 speed close ratio tranny with the hi low, runs awesome, what is a fair offer he has no idia what it is worth and says he will take 400.00
