yah thats what ive done.also i take the smj out and just solder the wires much nicer and cleaner

that was the problem wrong iac.im learning alot building from junkyards and the usmb thanks for the help everyone now just some tans wiring and diff lock stuff

i think i stumbled on to my prob. theres a difference in iac between autos and manuals. i ve using parts i saved and things at the jy the iac thats in there has only 2 prongs i need one with three, so jy surfing for me tomorrow. thanks for help guys think im on it now hopefully later justin

so i sprayed some maf cleaner into the iac to try and flush it out now it idles around 3k? is this thing junk i think ill let it sit tell tomorrow and start it again any suggestions would be great thanks justin

right on thanks gary,i was wanting the schematic for both the diff lock and the trans itself theres two plugs on it -
anyone have a schematic of xt6 trans wiring i swapped one into my 85 gl. its a manual and the schematic of the diff lock system i think its easy but running out of time and need to get it done thanks a bunch justin

i did one for my vw not much different really.i cheated on mine though with a smallcar schematic.it was before i got much deeper into the subies inner workings good luck

ok thanks ill do that .it still needs align and i got a couple of bugs to work out ruff idle until 1200 rpm then fine.missing at idle thats why i want to get the cel wired in

ea to ej swap . i was wanting to wire my cel to the ecs light but not sure which it is. this is a 85 gl the haynes schematic doesnt show the colors of the wires at the light connection.any help would be great thanks guys tried searching but struggling find it

i take the smj connector out and just solder the wires im using much cleaner and easier to install.also not that many to solder

yah, thanks a bunch guys xt6 axles is what im going to do seems they sent me wrong axles anyway. i appreciate your help

sorry its in a 85 gl wagon but i think i figured it out. i think i totally brain farted it since i put in the xt6 trans i should be able to run normal xt6 axles.??i used all xt6 front and rear

im not sure but i think i bought wrong axles for 5 lug. i got 93 impreza fwd axles cant remember if they are for at or mt,that could be the problem.when i install them i get one side together then the other side i cant get it on the ball joint like theyre about 2" to long together help please thanks for any help

i get boots from triangle auto in yakima great place to find hard find things and quality stuff not junk

so what is it that the diff lock is locking,both front axles or engaging rear?

nice, i was thinking it would be easy but wasn't sure. i grabbed all the air pump and silenoids and switches and lines. thanks i might ask more when i go to install thanks a bunch.im thinking of a 99 2.2 mated to this trans or a 93 2.2 not sure. that extra 12 hp might be nice vs the non interference
