[Wont idle!!!]

I have an 85 subaru gl wagon 4wd dual range and it wont idle. i can have it running and drive it but every timne i stop or put in the clutch it just dies, so i have to restart my car unless i time it right with the brake and gas and keep her running. but i think its the carb so im planning on buying a weber. but does anyone have any ideas before i spend money on a new carb? need the help bad. ohh another thing, i can get it to idle if im just starting it and i lightly press the gas it will idle. its like its constantly flooding ro chgoking itself out

yes it is dual range tranny. and ill take some pics today. its not running because my alternator just whent out and just waiting for next paycheck. so after that ill get some really good pics.

im not sure if its dual range or single, its 5sp 4wd front wheel drive when not engaged. i have a 4lo and a 4hi for the 4wd. otherwise i have no idea

big tires and a 4" lift or bigger then. It's your ride, and you can do whatever you choose with it! :-p

 

im planning on the 6inch lift with 30 inch bfg mud terrain tires maybe even 32 inch

ok then, the 2" isn't the way to go. my wagon would get washed away in 4 feet of water. But then so would one on a six inch lift. Heck, so would a jeep.

 

it only get that deep in early spring when all the snow run off is coming down. otherwise it only comes up to the knees

well the place i go to alot called douglas creek in waterville has a good sized stream in it it can get 3-4 ft deep in spring. just dont want to flood my car up with water

You want a 32/36 DGV Weber carb. Also, if you're lookin for a lift, stop by my place sometime if you're ever down in the Yakima Valley...

ok what weber carburator exactly should i get. im not good at this stuff. i got a buddy that will help me put it all together but i need to know what to get.

i was planning on get the sjr lift. either 4 or 6 inch im not sure. i think im gonna go with the four inch because of money and dont exactly need that much heighth but i am also getting a snorkel system for it.

i have an 85 gl wagon 4wd ea82 engine with thats piece of crap hitachi carb.

well this car was my grandfathers, and i know a little about cars but nothing major or detailed. well i wanna turn this car into a tree climbing machione without the ej22 swap. i just need a lidt of things i need to do. im only 18 and dont have any help in my little town for this kind of thing. i already got tires and lift kit picked out but idk about wheels. i just really need some help. like a huge list of stuff to do would be great. like things i need to do to get started out.
