  1. Which napa reman is it? what color is the box? I have had terrible results with the blue box napa remans. i have gone through 5 of them on my 85 wagon within 2 weeks the silver box is a little better, i have had to replace the replacement only once. It seems remanufactured alternators are a crapshoot Oh yeah, if they're testing machine says it works, tell them they are full of sh*t. I had the same alternator tested at 2 different napa's and one said it was broken, and the second test at the other napa said it was fine.
  2. Went to the pull a part today and picked up some sweet rims with rally tires they even came with 4 center caps! And a few days ago i found a set of RX seats!!
  3. That is one sweet ride. I've been looking for a trunk lid with the spoiler thingy, but i haven't had any luck I am going to return the spray paint and get a gallon of enamel
  4. Hold onto the brake rotor and spin the hub until they align http://www.worldwidecm.com/chat/index.php subaru chatroom
  5. it looks like that because the brake rotor is not on. your doing fine ALSO: you can go to the chat room advertised in my signature for real time help!
  6. and judging from the pictures, you dont have an impact gun. you could also use that ratchet or breaker bar that is sitting there to get the same effect
  7. you got to work it. make sure the splines are lined up correctly. then you can put the castle nut on the bit that is sticking through and pry it. or if you have an impact gun, put the castle nut on, MAKE SURE IT IS NOT CROSS THREADED, and use that to suck the axle through. when it is tight like that, it means you have virgin wheel bearings
  8. Don't lift the struts more than 2 inches without a body lift. I break axles and stub shafts driving on pavement with my combo of a 2" lift and 2wd struts in the rear (about 1 1/2" longer than 4wd struts)
  9. The best way to have a sway bar if your going to wheel a Subaru, is to take a hacksaw, cut it in half, and throw it away (the swaybar:rolleyes:)
  10. Well, i just found out, that i am actually using rust-oleum. More specifically, rust-oleum painter's touch. I also found out today that i own an air powered paint sprayer.
  11. go some sanding done, but it was too cold and humid to paint. go saints!
  12. use your head. silicone or rtv will turn square into round. or find some plastic intake pieces off an EA82 and silicone it.
  13. It should be. I drove a Geo metro through all the good camping areas
  14. I am gonna paint the whole thing blue, except the hood, which will be flat black. Then i am considering having blue racing stripes on the hood. I wanted to use clear coat, because it would prevent fading, but should i not use it? btw, i'm using krylon paint And for yellow, i had somthing like this in mind:
  15. I got a wild hair and decided to paint my car. Went to the home depot and got some paint and clear coat decided to only do one panel at a time, so i can still drive it during the week sanded her down: first coat first coat done: After that dried i put on a second coat of paint, and then 2 layers of clear coat. More progress tomorrow!
  16. also bring some zip ties. and, if you don't know how, learn how to back up in a straight line and toilet paper
  17. +1 on the XT. Driving 70 miles everyday in my 4wd XT get me an average of 30 mpg.
  18. Not at all. How would anything hit the belts? the are protected in the front by the radiator, the car itself protects the sides, and how would a rock jump straight up?
  19. Hey, Where in Bellingham are you located?
