Emphasis on the give part
-
Not going to make this one either. My wheeler wagon needs an engine. not too good when it's only running on 3 cylinders. Anyone have a running EA-81 they want to give me?
-
Those are the ones that are drilled wrong

I just graduated in june and barley passed high school. My parents tried like **** to motivate me to do well in school. They tried money, a new car, threaten to kick me out of the house(which my dad did), everything. I simply didn't care. Some people cannot be motivated by other people. They have to do it for themselves. The only reason I had for graduating is the school counselor enrolled me in a local technical college the automotive technology/repair class, which starts in 2 weeks and i am excited for. SO now i am going to college for something i love. Your son is 13 so there is no telling what he will do later, but just keep his eyes on the goal. And personally, I think 13 is a little young to worry about perfect grades. But i think it is awesome that he wants a brat. (so do I)

Subaru Having Problems, Need Help
Markus56 replied to ViceMan's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
A similar thing is happening on my geo prism 3AT. The previous owner had let it run out of ATF, which ate up the insides. As far as i know, the best fix is a replacement. But there might be something i don't know about. -
I did something like that, but with a smaller guard on an EA82 The main thing you are going to run into is weight. If you look at a side view of my rig, the back sits higher than the front. And my guard looks like it weighs less than yours. But now that i think about it, i have 2wd struts in the back...but that only lifts the back by 1.5 inches

That is what I meant. I can see the offset in the pictures, but as you said, in the wrong direction
-
Right idea, wrong direction
-
I think i might see a problem in the non angled blocks... the offset holes should be in the lateral direction on the block if that makes sense. If I'm wrong, please correct me and i will shut up
-
check the alignment?
-
Should there be oil in the diaphragm?
-
replacing this with a piece of pop can? What's the right way to do this?
-
Why is it i can never see a picture that Scott posts?
-

-
Didn't see that. I read to fast. Sorry:-p

Having never jumped a starter before, what is the best way to do it?

It's freshly rebuilt with new jets, so it's gotta be a vacuum leak. I just don't know where. I sprayed the base of the carb with brake cleaner and nothing happened. If someone could point out the major leak areas, it would be appreciated!

The ground wire was bad, i just replaced it with new one, but it didn't fix anything. On to the next step!
-
It won't idle. It either runs at 2000 rpm or higher, or it doesnt run at all.
-
when i turn the ignition all i get is a *click* All the dash lights turn on. auto seatbelt works. ???

So, here goes another (the same) problem with my wagon. Still won't run right after doing a weber swap. It ran ok before on the hitachi. Then I ran into some problems with it not wanting to run. Took it to a shop where they informed me that it had a vacuum leak somewhere and that they would rebuild it for 300 bucks. Instead they turned up the idle, so that it wouldn't die on me. So i ran it like that for about 6 months before i finally had all the stuff i needed to do the weber swap. It hasn't run right since. Is there a good write up somewhere (with pictures) so i could go back over my work and check to make sure i did everything right? http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=75986 this link doesnt work http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49931 and this one doesn't have pictures and if anyone has any ideas, or an insurance claim and napalm, feel free to mock me in my despair

nope
-
Well, it seems it only has problems when i use it. So if i leave it in the yard, problem solved!

i have a 85 GL wagon with a two inch lift and 235/75/R15 Avon SXTs and the steering wheel has it's life of it's own. It jerks back and forth like none other. What is the best way to fix this?
