  1. no, but i blocked off the most of intake with my hand and it ran fine then. And it is running really lean. So I am assuming that there is too much air, hence a vacuum leak. And it is idling at around 2000-3500 rpm, so it is bypassing the idle circuit, so changing the fuel/air mixture won't do anything.
  2. I already did the ventricle thing and danced the weber dance. nothing. there aren't any vacuum lines left. the beauty of the weber
  3. That's the same as the 80's ford escort, right?
  4. Weber swap on an '85 GL wagon. It runs really lean and i cant figure out where the air leak is happening. I have all the vacuum ports sealed off and I am going to get a can of brake cleaner to try and find the culprit. is there any other things I am missing?
  5. The redline one is still 150 dollars. Thats too much.
  6. Now here comes the money maker... K&N wants 250 dollars for the dgv air filter adapter. thats crap. what have people used to get around this problem? is there an air filter from another car that would fit with a some modification?
  7. fyi, I cant see the pictures
  8. I'm goin but not in the wheeler wagon. effing carbs. i'm takin the loyale so at least i can have a quiet ride
  9. where did you get the trim?
  10. bobs97c5 has sent me a wonderful PVC snorkel for my wheeler wagon, and i was wondering how people have punched through the side of a gen 3 wagon to install a snorkel? Thanks! John
  11. I'm in. got one eye's old 29.5" tires and will be weberized and (hopefully) snorkeled if my luck is good, i will also have a welded rear end and a new roof rack
  12. i will swing by sometime this week. i have a road trip this weekend so i was hoping to inlist your help for doing wheel bearings
  13. how does one remove a radio antenna from an EA82 wagon and install it on another one? My loyale did not come with one, so my new HD radio is now worthless
  14. triple checked it. when i was doing the timing on one of my wagons, it ran on two cylinders when i messed up the marks and fyi, you cant see the flywheel on mpfi EA82s
  15. I meant spending money on parts. but when your car has 260 thousand miles on it, you should probably replace the old stuff on it
  16. yeah, i should probably do that. i was hoping i wouldn't have to spend money but i guess it will save me money in the long run :-p
  17. purchased a non running 89 XT for 100 bucks. i pulled off the timing covers to discover a camshaft gear had broken and shredded a timing belt. I replaced the gear and the belts, and when i try to start it, nothing happens. all the dash lights turn on so i know there is power. Where should i start?
  18. my 1990 loyale spfi 5 speed single range 4x4 is getting 14 miles per gallon. which sucks. My carbed wheeler wagon with a craptachi and 28's is getting 26 mpg, so i know the loyale should be getting better milage Does anyone know what is making the loyale have crappy gas milage? What should i do to fix it? Thanks! John
  19. I just picked one up for $275. But mine didn't have a roof rack Great find though I'm running some 185/75R14s i had lying around. Don't have any rub issues.
  20. Is it all dried up or are there still some puddles left?
  21. one eye is headed over sometime today, so hopefully he can get this figured out. There shouldn't be anything wrong with it, it was professionally rebuilt by a carburetor guru. It might be something as silly as a vacuum hose not plugged.
  22. Now i don't know if i can make it, my car seems not to be running
  23. there is a return spring and the throttle moves freely is there a really good write up on the process? these are the ones i found but didn't help http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=74206 http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49931 this one would have, but i cant see the pictures
