So i used my Subaru battery to drive a free Geo prism from bellingham to mount vernon. as soon as i got it home and parked, the radiator exploded and sprayed antifreeze all over the battery and engine compartment. when i put the battery back in the subaru, nothing happened when i went to start the car. went to jump it and the battery was toast, but it started. drove it 5 miles and parked. came back 3 hours and i turned the key and heard a click. then the battery is dead. jumped it again the get home, and put it on the charger for 8 hours. checked the battery level when and it said 85%. turned the key and heard a click. nothing happened. i checked the bettery level and it said 0%. WTF

I have open diffs. only one place where you go up a 70 degree incline on loose rocks was sketchy.

Turns out my subaru leaks. all over everything on the floor in the back of my rig.

Camber is the death of me

Will it go back to stock? It turns out that my dad's friend might be giving me a Geo Prism if i can fix it, so this one can just be for wheeling until i get another wagon? So i guess the general mood is just to forget it, huh? With all the crap i've modded this ride with, it would be a shame to have to take it all off... The grill guard is a b*tch to take off and put on another car Also: would the 205/75/R15s fit on a non lifted wagon? -
a drill the size of my leg and a rear drum brake with 2 bolts punched out, bolted onto the rim while drilling

I was thinking, would lower arms from a different car that are longer, but otherwise the same help? SO, if the wheel were pushed out more, would it correct it some? I will get some pics when i get home from school -
85 EA82 wagon 2" lift with 15 degree angle blocks I am going through front tires like non other. What how can I get rid of the camber for good?? Make new lift blocks with more angle? I don't think I can do that without cutting out a part of the car, which would make it not safe. Everytime i turn the tires sit on the outside of themselves. Has someone made extenders for the lower arms? wouldn't that make CVs disappear faster as well? The outside of the front tires are already bald. I have to replace them soon, or else they will wear through. Another thing i noticed is that i have to accelerate in 4X4 or the front wheels chirp until i get up to speed. This car has been my DD for over a year and lifting it was not a good idea :-\ SUMMARY: does anyone know a good way to fix this?

I have those same rims! Just green

I am going to use a piece of painted plywood as a bottom with 4 supports equal lengths apart. The plywood will be attached to the metal somehow... then i'll figure out sides and a roof.
-
I was going to use an old bed frame and beef it up.
-
Where did he get that?
-
I had a change of plans and now I'm going to build a roof mounted tent.
-
I'll be there!

you would need around 6 inches of 2x2 tubing, a chop saw, drill press, and some mounting hardware. price depending on where you get your stuff. I had free steel so my only cost was nuts and bolts.

Front Bumper Remove
Markus56 replied to The Dude Abides's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
2 bolts on both sides of the unibody. drivers side is under the battery, passenger side is under the emissions cylinder thing. First unplug your turn indicators and plug them into the side markers. bolts are welded to the bumper so you don't need to keep them from turning -
+1 on the bad alternator. same thing was happening on my '85 wagon. replace the alt and all the problems were solved.

It has been extensively, and has passed the "keep the headlights from being smashed in by a tree" test, the "able to go up steep inclines" test, and finally, the " pull the Toyota pickup out of a river" test. Not joking

2 are done! ran out of paint :-\

I was gonna buy that car dammit!
