  1. I bought 2 axles for less than what the tool costs I will stick with the screwdrivers for now
  2. to lift a hatch, you would need 2 inch spacers on the front struts and adjust the rear lifter thingy all the way up. someone else can clarify on what im trying to say
  3. The screwdriver thing really made things fly. I get to replace the other side tomorrow!
  4. how would you hit in the axle when the end that attaches to the tranny moves back and forth?

  6. I'm trying to fit the spline of the new axle into the wheel bearings and it is being a pain in the a**. is there any easy way to get the spline into the hole? Thanks! John
  7. both of em are off 5 speed 4x4 single range trannys. i have a duel range but it should work then

  10. Too tired to take it apart tonight. I could see the air bleeds and they are new and the correct size, so I'm assuming that the rest are as well. But I will double check tomorrow after work.
  11. I ended up with the most basic GL as well. I know a guy with a DL that has power steering!
  12. Check the panel on the driver door. I think its a GL, cause my '85 has no power steering, power locks, windows, or anything fancy like that

  14. What I meant was, is there a number on the jet or something? So I know what size it is? Sorry for not making myself clear :-p
  15. Not having tinkered with it myself, is there an easy way to check the jet size? I think he said that he used it on one of his wagons for a while, so I think its alright. Thanks! John
  16. According to One Eye, it came off a '72 Fiat. It has been beautifully rebuilt by my neighbor, who is a Carburetor God. Cleaned, fixed and ready to go. It is originally a DGAV, but has been converted to the electronic choke.

  19. Yeah. A good number of us have way more than one old subaru. But, I like it! Good luck in the future with it. When can we see a lift and tires on it?
