  1. 85 GL wagon Before: After: and my 88 XT before: After: and my 91 legacy before: after: now has outback struts, 195/75r14 tires and better visibility
  2. i would like to know how they are wired. the most i have put on a car is 10 including the stock ones, and these are wired on independent circuits each with a fuse and relay, with a high output alternator. one would think that it would stress the charging system a little bit
  3. yes, but an inch block is almost too small to use.
  4. saw this today, if i had the cash i would get it in an instant http://bellingham.craigslist.org/cto/2007043508.html
  5. you can get clay bar at any auto parts store. it is with all the waxes and washes. Mother's brand is a good one.
  6. Hey guys, I'm in the middle of making my 88' XT rear wheel drive, and am having some issues with the front cv axle. When i pulled the shaft out of the hub, the inner wheel bearing and seal went with it. so i have a new wheel bearing and seal installed, and now i cannot install the outer shaft back into the hub. I have greased the shaft and the inner races of the bearings and it still will not go in. What tricks are there to install the spindle shaft? The last time i did a front axle, it just slid right in.
  7. makes me want to get slightly more insurance coverage on my car(s)
  8. did you check the fusible links under the hood
  9. good info, thank you. however this is not a drastic lift, I am just installing outback struts on my legacy, and was wondering if anyone who had also done it knew what kind of aftermarket rear camber bolt i needed.
  10. So when i am aligning outback struts on my 91 legacy sedan, how much extra angle in a camber bolt do i need? is a 1.75 degree offset enough or do i need to get a 2.5 degree or more? thanks ~ Yohn
  11. why haven't i seen these pictures before?
  12. Oh, yes, many thanks to jeff for his talent with a spray can.
  13. Bump! Not mine and not exactly straight, but i had to post it. Belongs to Todd Martin, Subaru Fanatic Extraordinaire
  14. *UPDATE* I actually finished it! reminds me of a duck billed platypus... I might end up painting the hood black for kicks
  15. The ej22 is a flat four, i have no idea where you got your information. Gas milage is about 23 mpg with lots of variety depending on who you talk to.
  16. not really. we all hang out at one eye's house for the most part. If you want to chat, go the the Shucks/O'reilly's in mount vernon when you see the red legacy sedan with all the headlights in the parking lot, and ask for Yohn or Jmarkus (both are me). I'm there most days after 4 pm.

  17. I've done it both on 27's and 30's. Would highly recommend 30's and a welded rear diff. And it's Walker Valley, not mount walker
  18. I know i have sent you the links about my set up already, but here they are again. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=99076 http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=98826
  19. It's only about 60-40 that doesn't work in reverse, and in my car it only cycled power to the rear end to find traction. At the time, my front end was bottomed out on some ruts in a cabbage field. The switch makes life easier.
  20. I was thinking about pulling the throttles off of regular carbs and rigging a cable system. might work, or there might not be enough room...
