  1. the man with the big brown truck was good to me today... I received a box today with something really frickin' cool:cool: pics tonight.
  2. your ski wagon is coming along very nicely and pretty quick if you ask me(I am just glad that I don't have all that rust to worry about) I am getting close to having almost everything, just a few more pieces I need to pick up:brow: now I need to set aside time to work on it.
  3. Here's what is on tap for the next couple months: EJ22 swap with OBD-2 harness Single port UEL header from sube101 custom mid pipe with catalytic converter re-fitted Silverline cat back from WRX(this is all depends on how it sounds...) XT6 front and rear sway bars caster rods coilover sleeves four headlight conversion:Flame: 85/86 short bumper think that's too much to ask and make it too WCSS this year? Be patient
  4. I wasn't intending on starting a flame war. I am aware that the two row radiator can be fitted with the 1.5 inlet/outlet, I personally have a hard time spending $150+ for a brand new one then voiding the warranty before I even put antifreeze in it. Like Gloyale said, they are few and far between in wrecking yards even up here. I am thinking that a single row will be more than sufficient for this application (no turbo or high compression) Thanks for all the replies, Ben
  5. Hey you have the same threaded insert tool I do! that looks really clean  how is the clearance between the crank pulley and radiator? Ben
  6. thanks for the reply. that is an Impreza radiator correct? did you have to re-drill the holes in the bottom for the mount?
  7. I used a tie rod end puller, it was small enough to fit around the control arm and a couple good turns later it was out! good luck Ben
  8. so as the title says, I am looking for pics that show EJ radiator in an EA82 specifically noting clearance, fan placement, how you mounted it etc. thanks in advance Ben
  9. No problem Rob, I am just glad used and they wont get lost or damaged sitting in my garage. thanks for the exhaust btw:headbang:
  10. I would be weary in using this block without resurfacing... very little material left for the sealing ring
  11. so not completely on topic but if want to keep your front ebrake.... I was able to retain my front calipers from my 91 loyale with EJ knuckles. the knuckles were off of a 94 AWD Impreza, (I believe the trick is to find one that came with 13" or 14" wheels, it also had a single piston caliper) swapped over the caliper pins from the ea82 to the ej knuckles and put the calipers on. EJ knuckles, hubs, rotors, caliper bracket and EA82 front calipers. works great in my application. Ben
  12. Finding backshells and strain reliefs for ms style aviaton cannon plugs should be easy, getting the proper crimp tool and insertion/removal tools that's the hard/expensive part. The last time I checked a full set of Daniels crimp tools was over $2000US... Needless to say I don't have a set. Ben
  13. here is a couple places to download the factory service manual: EA82 FSM part1 EA82 FSM Part 2 another link http://www.finleyweb.net/JonsStuff/SubaruDocumentation.aspx these are just engine sections and emissions sections and bits and pieces of other sections but should be enough to get you through for now. Ben
  14. so there should not be any clearance problems i suspect?
  15. any pics of these installed? I am concerned about oil filter clearance I have an oil pressure/temp adapter plate. thanks Ben
  16. thanks Tom! it's still a work in progress, I don't think that it will ever be done! your ski wagon is coming along nicely too! Ben
  17. Wow!! Tom those rockers look great!
  18. Search for Miles Fox's YouTube he has a great step by step video series. Ben
  19. exhaust looks good! TWO MORE SETS?!?! no wonder I can't find any of those wheels... that color looks good though:drunk:
  20. Be careful... That was my intention when i bought my wagon and I have had it for almost 4 years now. They grow on you like a fungus... Welcome!
  21. there should be a sticker near the starter on the transmission bellhousing, you can find out the diff ratio from that number(I am not sure of an online database but you could probably call the dealer). the rear diff should have a plate on the cover stating the gear ratio. Ben
  22. the hill holder could be your problem but I would still confirm that the diff ratio for the trans and rear diff are the same.
