Welcome, very nice looking car..a bit different from what they have here in the US.

Interesting thread, very much interested in getting one for my latest project. Anyone got any more info? Thanks.

Any Subaru worth saving should be saved...any photos would help to determine the price. 117,000 miles is low milage...5-speed,perhaps a diff-lock? Now that is gold for some of us.Parting out before scrapping is also an option (if you have the space and time)...people everywhere always need parts...e.g for the 5-lug swap and such.Back to you.Cheers mate, good luck with the sale.

My very first RX was an '88 sedan 5-speed with power everything, very convenient especially if you like 4 doors...then I have owned 2 more RX's both of them '87 coupes. (As for the '88 sedan, ex-girlfriend somehow managed to get it impounded for illegal parking, then auctioned off by the city while I was travelling overseas in 2003 but that is a story for another day).As other senior board members have said:depends on the state of the other car you are trading for...also,what you prefer, also your present stage in life...if you need a 4-door for daily driving practicability(maybe drop off the kids and such stuff),keep the sedan. If still a single person(or kids are grown/have their own cars), the coupe will do just as well.If you have good $$, I say keep the sedan and buy the coupe. After all is said and done, both cars have their appeal plus advantages. It all comes down to your needs, preferences and ability. My preference is the coupe, any day. My insurance stayed the same !

What's that do to the insurance?....really??
-
It all comes down to your needs...if needing cash, then part but if you are set;then keep is as whole car, especially if not rusted out and price it...am guessing/assuming BRAT is rust free since in Arizona, hopefully for a long time. Pretty sure someone would be thankful for a whole rustless/rustfree BRAT. My 2 cents.

Welcome aboard,to the home of the Subaru experts. -
I too, have done the same but seller makes me beleieve that this engine is real heavy...!

Not sure where to post this...(mods,please help if I have posted in the wrong place).Leaving early this coming Sunday (11/24/2013) from Parkville,Maryland to Kinnelon, NJ to pick up an EJ22T engine for one of my projects...returning same day.I have a regular size Toyota 4WD pickup truck extra cab.If anyone has legally purchased a heavy or bulky item that needs transported back anywhere along the 95 North-South or 295 North-South corridor between these two points, let me know.I can transport for free. Also, if any of the board members live in/around Kinnelon...will need a hand to load engine onto pickup truck.Cheers folks!

Thanks for sharing the great write-up...wondering if the same process would work with a 1994 Turbo Legacy Wagon?

Looking for opinion of what this 82 wagon is worth
kaki replied to Subieguy's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
If the body is solid, rust minimal,I say why not go for it?Should you change your mind for any reason, let us know.
