  1. EA82 with high crank case pressure---I have an 87 wgn 4wd auto, 90k miles (so I was told). Prev owner bought car not running for 3-yrs and replaced water pump, passed smog (so I was told) and sold to me. It ran fine for 3-mo. Started to loose power when warm to the point that it will stop. I discovered there was a lot of crank case pressure and blow by through the PCV into the carb. Lots of oil in the carb which is why I think it looses power and will not run. Replaced the PCV valve - no change. Does not seem to over heat. Any ideas about what is wrong?

I found another engine with blown head gasket that I'm about to fix and replace it with but just thought I'd see if anyone had a clue before I pull the engine.

    Thanks...Jim
