went and talked to one of the only body shops in this area that touches rust, very nice guys by the way. was telling me that clark welding will be able to make replacement panels for me if i can bring them a good chunk of what i need replaced. all i gotta do is cut out a section of the rockers and floor and take it in to em, and i should be able to get a new chunk to replace whats rotten.

rescued dogs always seem to be the most greatful and loving. my fluffball came from people that rescue abused animals. aparently the litter was used as taget practice by some west va rednecks. id like to hunt them st.bernard/beagle mix, somehow. we call him the mega beagle.

The Loyale's last ride...
subyrally replied to Andy FitzGibbon's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
looks like you had a good run, time to let it rest, but perhapse its loss can ensure that others stay on the road/ -
simple, the difference is that the agx struts are adjustable, 8 points in the rear and 4 up front. the gr2's are you basic replacement strut, about 20% better dampening than stock from what i remember though. i have used both options on my cars, my 86rxhad the gr2 bits since thats the best i could find for it and my 00 impreza has the agx setup on it. i really like kyb suspension, they tend to hold up really well through abuse and what not and the agx line makes spirited driving that much better. if you have the option and the money, the kyb agx struts are definatly the way to go, but i would reccomend getting better springs than the stockers with them. might as well upgrade while you have it all apart. also, if you go with the agx bits, id reccomend all four corners at once.

that was funny.

id reccomend the subaru over a mazda anyday. just take your time with rust repair and be careful. i pulled up the sound deadening material from the floor of mine and there is a lot more rust there than i thought. granted, the rest of it is actually in pretty good shape, just a little bit of rust near the rear bumper and the rockers are toast. it might take work, but i know thebrat will bring more happiness in the long run.

Fuel Pump replacement for EA81 series
subyrally replied to Gyoas759's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
from what i remember, carbs run on less than 8-9 psi, where as fuel injection runs off of 30-100psi depending on set ups,but for the ea82, the mpfi injectors run at 36psi, im not sure about the spfi though, but i would imagine that its not low pressure like a carbed system. im sure someone with a bit more knowledge of the ea81 will be able to chime in sometime. i am still figuring out the ea81 myself. -

gl10 pump will put out too much pressure if its going onto a carbed engine. -

i swear by seamfom, its good stuff. we ran it in my friend's 90 toyota camry with about 225k in it, smoked like none other, but burned tires at the first intersection, lol. -
