  4. $500?!? i woulda puked on his desk. you could part it out and make more money than that just from a few of the bits.
  5. well, if i come, i wont be driving the rx, im going to get rid of it, and hopefully, get a brat. if i get the brat i want, i should be able to drive it up, if not, ill be in the impreza.

  12. thats something that would have been helpful a while back, thanks for posting that shadow. now i just gotta hit up advanced and get an adapter. that and i need to change the color of the wheel i got sitting in the car.
  13. with my engine, im not going for different compression or cheap parts, i am trying to build an engine that will be bullet proof.i want an ea82t that will withstand high boost and possibly high rpm. this is, of course, a long term project for me, i dont expect to be finished till at least fall if not winter.
  14. i think the wrx rod would put the piston through the head, doesnt it already come flush to the deck at tdc? for that, i could see having to get a custom crank shaft made to accomodate the extra length.
  15. i think the pin size could be overcome, somehow.probably just need custom rods. what about the hight from thetop of the piston to the center of the pin? is that the same between the two?
  16. i think i just need to top off the fluids, but first i need to fix the leak from my oil pan and get a new front u-joint and i think the car will be ready to fly. granted ive ben driving it for like two or three weeks on expired tags now and i need to get it inspected, but that doesnt happen if i cannt get it fixed.
  17. hey will, hit me up this afternnon if you get a chance, i should be online around 3 ish, i have an ecu outta an 87 gl-10. i tried swapping it when the rx wouldnt start, but the ecu wasnt my problem, turned out to be a bad connection, thus i have a spare ecu. ill be online later.
  18. keep me informed if you come across anything, i need to find out for my build. thanks will.
  19. sounds alot like my rx a few months ago, it turned out to be a loose connection in the fuse block, the fuse was fine, but it wouldnt start, then when it was tapped by a test probe, it touched the contact and the relay clicked. it had me stumped for 2 months and i spent well over $200 in ignition parts trying to figure it out. good luck man.
  20. im so happy to hear that you arent hurt, and i know youll be taken care of by the usmb, thats why its here. hope all goes well with getting back on your feet. peace tim c.
  21. i dont know what hurts more, my ribs from my frined punching me, or seein the brat in that condition. my thoughts are with you, i only hope you are allright, the brat, although painful to loose, can be replaced, you arent replacable. good luck recovering from this. peace tim c.
