Why is there police tape going through the wagon?
-
I'm weighing my options, And negative, just td04s
-
not a fan of flowmasters on a subaru but the 2.5" pipe, i'm curious. gunna fab something up yourself or take it to a shop? and the BOV.... you can send it to me for that crank pulley lol
-
Boring update: Pulled the brake lines and master cylinder of a auto loyale. I now have brakes. And I may have accidentally lit the body kit on fire.....
-
oh look....... rust.... yay... whatevs... fixed the rust up top behind the tail light and stuffs... so to ensure my work doesnt go to sh!t i need to find a new hatch soooooon
-
Yes, yes I did. Had a buddy of mine go to Japan last year and bring that back for me.
-
quick update. put a few hours worth of work into it today.... and possible tailpipe.... might go another route but i kind of dig it.
-
So you need a ej251 block with 22 heads? I need a 22block with 251 heads...... Hmmmmmm
-
uh, bad couple of days. rain, food poisoning... etc. on the plus side the rain is done, and i just ordered all the buts to make a 3" DP back exhaust system.(i only want to fool with this exhaust once be it with the ea82 or EJxx)
-
I hate you Damn autocorrect, I mean beautiful car!
-
in the process of swapping injectors, can't seem to find the right o-ring tho... little gauge pod made out of pvc(2bucks compared to 30 for an actual pod) realized the downpipe will never fit, so i cut it in half, ill reshape it as i see fit.
-
Lol! This is true. More reason to move down. Pluuuuuuuus pretty much every Sunday some Subaru or another is getting wrenched on
-
selling the sti exhuast to my buddy to use on his GC, just too much of a PITA to modify. looking at getting some 2.5" pipe and running it from there, anybody got a pic of they're exhuast running underneath the rear axle rather than over?
-
the wrong way to "clean" the motor out
rpholz replied to Meeky Moose's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
The xt6 isn't happy till you do a pull to 7500 rpms lol. Not sure where the rev limiter kicks in tho.. -
I hope so! I've come up with a list of stuff left, it seems like a lot but not really RX stuffs: Acc belts Bov to IC connector Shifter bushings Driveshaft Exhaust 12v switched for relays Relay to Batt Water temp gauge + sender O2 sensor Fuel pump relay Injector swap PCV piping Oil catch can Coolant (15% then WW+water) Oil (synthetic) Throttle cable Gas tank? 5 lug swap +bushings Block to thermostat coolant line Thermoswitch Fan(s) IC lines/pump+wiring Brake lines Fuses for relays

More wiring done Inter cooler to TB piping done Air filter to turbo done Most of turbo to IC is done but I need to figure out this funky bend Intake officially bolted down Some other stuff I forgot about Spent a good bit of time on my buddy's intake tho....
-
I work Saturdays so not too much done but Most of the wiring has been completed. Fixed the exhaust stud Found out my downpipe runs into the trans crossmember Intercooler mounting and some piping figured out
-
Slight update: Picked up some WRX wheels so later down the line I can fit WRX brakes and better tire options. Stuffed them under the xt6 only to find out my bushings are GONE so the one ran into the strut, put the smaller wheels back on and am waiting on poly bushings Needed a helicoil kit for one of the exhuast studs. Cheapest place: amazon, so I'm waiting on that Also ordered the 90 degree elbow for the turbo inlet. So all in all I'm just sitting here waiting on parts And I'm broke.
-
Got around to modifying the turbo, however my pliers don't have enough a$$ to get the clip back in. Ill just take it down to Subaru on Monday and ask real nice someone to do it for me. I have plenty of other things to do between now and then
-
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAA need to clock the turbo so it will clear the intake. just wanted to get an idea of whats what.
-
Ahhhhhhhhh snap. Bottom line motor will be completely assembled and in by Monday or I don't deserve this car. Would figure my 2 days off would be filled with rain with none before or after
-
funny, i can see the pic you posted on my Iphone but not my laptop. ah, oh well. I remember that day. good stuff. always great to meet another subaru enthusiast! on a side note check out how light this battery is! also i did some researching and an Orlando import generally carries EJ20g for right around a grand. thats pretty cheap for a full engine/trans set up however I really want to carry on Will's passion of pushing the EA82
-
well the engine would of been in the car by now if it weren't for the weather. been looking at jobs/apts for my dad all day.
-
BAH! I disagree. PLUS my TechWorks header is designed for one so no mod, no fuss! ALSO: EVO 8 injectors should keep PLENTY of fuel to offset the more air
