  1. OLD THREAD QUESTION. is the body the same size on these things? tried to drop one in my XT and the body was HUGE. didn't fit at all. picked up a reman 87 nissan maxima 3.0 SOHC alt. did i screw up?
  2. lol, those wheels are pretty wild. and i like how they molded in the air dam for the rear wheels.
  3. splines stripped on the input shaft? on the clutch? did the shift linkages fall loose inbetween shifts? idk a silent loss of drive is odd, is the trans still out? not bad for 50 bucks, issues or not.
  4. cause they're freaking cool. back seat delete, no p/s, crank windows, no passenger mirror. besides i live in florida... what do i need awd for? nada. and 40mpg is always nice... i can continue to go on.
  5. well heres how i see it. keep in mind im pretty cut throat when it comes to things. im in the same boat, too many vehicles. i have to choose between the XT and the OBW, now my outback is nicer and suits everything i need but its just a car, nothing special now my XT on the other hand I LOVE so bottom line outback gets sold and the XT daily driven. if i didnt care about either id sell them both and buy another Toyota 4x4. they're just cars and there will always be another. except XT DLs... they're a PITA to find.
  6. Since your clearly not attached to either sell them both and buy an impreza.
  7. Welcome, nice to know there is someone else keeping the dieing breed alive.
  8. I now have the motor out of this car, and bought those wheels off it to trade for another set of enkies
  9. Starting to regret posting those heads. I got excited, thought they were neat.
  10. I am just curious and am trying to find out more about them, damn GD get of your high horse.
  11. well ive gotten no reply back on those heads, and just outta curiousity have you accounted for steering with the turbo right there?
  12. Took the XT for a spin after sitting for 2 months damn shes a looker. and installed a little 8 in Kicker sub for a bit better audio experience
  13. since you plan on doing a coil on plug, stumbled on this and it may help you with engine management http://webhosting.web.com/imagelib/sitebuilder/misc/show_image.html?linkedwidth=560&linkpath=http://www.ramengines.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/.pond/ea81parts006.jpg.w560h420.jpg&target=tlx_pictnis&title=EA%20serpentine%20pulley%20w\timing%20wheel%20$175
  14. They offer those wheels in 5x100
  15. Redrill the hubs. I believe loyal 2.7 turbo did that.
  16. think about it, 16 valve, direct port, dual port exhaust.... AND i bet it doesnt crack between the valves. paired with MLS headgaskets and ARP head studs, there would be no limit on the EA82. I'm curious to see how it would hold under heavy boost tho. thing I would do is cut those intake things shorter and weld the intake tubes to that. rather than using the clamp style connector thingies(my mind is not functioning well today.) EDIT: Email sent to Neil Hintz(sp?) the original designer. asking what is the current status of these heads.
  17. just going to leave this here for your mind to wonder, http://www.rotaryforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12640
  18. Just out of curiousity, on the right side head, particularly the cam carrier where's the disty going? and i take it those aluminum spacers for the intake you'll be milling to accept injectors?
  19. Does that EJ 18 disty have a optical eye in it? I need something that can see which cylinder is currently firing for a project...
  20. I personally am greatly interested in this build and wish you luck. I'd offer advise but anything ea82T related I just ask WJM as it's much more fun to talk face to face with someone.. and catch rides in their WRX:clap: on the adjustable cams however, would it of just been easier to slot the holes rather than using the cam inserts?
