I don't know how to do multiple quotes so... JAWN- I must of misunderstood where it's leaking from, I thought you said the header flange is breaking, which is where my welder comment came from. 1-3-2-4- I used one of Harbour Freights welder, I believe the 90 amp 2 stage one, (high and low) and built an entire exhaust system for a Powerram I had, the only time I had burn through was on the collector flanges but they were cheap.

problems after new timing belts
rpholz replied to cookie1's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
is the tensioner for the driverside tbelt in good working order? I had an 89 xt in which the driverside tensioner bolt stripped outta the block, but not obviously so. gotta remember we have aluminum motors cant be throwing a ton of torque on those bolts. -

ooowww a Bushmaster eh? nice I currently have a Stag Arms AR15 chambered in 5.56 not a .223 gun. 16in barrel with a 9:1 twist. I do have about 500 tracer rounds that I'm desperatly trying to find somewhere to shoot off as setting a range on fire wouldn't be cool, also have a few tracer rounds for my 9mm Stoeger Cougar and right right not a gun forum. -

Sure there are different interpretations of perfect but you get my drift, new seals/bushings/shocks/tires/seats all that jazz to me my XT is perfect sure its slow and an auto (not for long tho) everythime I sit in it and look at its funny shifter and steering wheel I smile cause its just on of those odd ball cars that you don't see everyday, sure it likes to fight me and I call it dirty names sometimes but you don't see me driving a new impreza do you? And there's certainly a reason for that!

HAVE NO FEAR XTers!!! Ill start shipping out the depression pills tomorrow so we can continue on. -
Bleed the clutch Suck it up Figure it out and fix it! Whhhhhy? Did the engine, smoke, knock? Seriously you give up too easy they are old cars that need work, nothing besides brand new will be perfect And if your loyale runs pick up an EA body and swap the motors. Not trying to be mean or anything but really think about it the more you fix the less there is wrong and the closer to perfection you get.

Yea the lkq U pull it yard right before daytona I used to go there all the time whn I lived in Deland but I have coils and top mounts and my XT struts should be here today so ill get it all put back together tonight hoooooopefully.

Hmmm XT related hijack? I can live with that.
-
well i tried to install the fronts today but they were ungodly long (and adjustable!) so i ordered my 2wd xt struts and should be here tomorrow. and Gary i am definatly keeping that trick in mind, I believe I saw..... hmm what was his name? silver xt has an ej20, anywho saw he did that so i'll have to see once its all said and done. on a side note, When the heck is the XT forum coming back up? i'm terribly upset about this down time:-\

IDK, I am heading to georgia this morning for some regular front struts, i have the rears on already and i am pleased with how it is sitting although i have no idea what the came out of? but they're adjustable. and the fronts im pulling out of a EA82 4x4 wagon, hopefully it will sit level, if not my air struts are already spoken for so ill take the money from them and get some 2wd xt struts to drop it back down. btw i have no idea what you guys are talking about with this my 2wd XT sat way high in the front. but anyway should have car converted sometime this evening:banana:
