  1. I'm about to pull the seats from my 88 RX and put them in my 89 XT6 (then later fit jdm ver5 Sti seats in the RX) I'll let you know how this goes
  2. So what turbo is on the car? Vf7? Vf39? Gt35r? And I like the power steering lines and the air box is well done.
  3. The er27 was only offered in the xt6 and are extremely reliable. Idk about the turbo part, few have attempted it and idk their long term results

    88 RX

Subyrally- pm sent. AWD j3wman- prepare for a little wait, bouncing between this and my XT. I bought frankenwedge which is a eg33 swapped xt6 with some work that needs to be done to make it a good DD
  5. Frame it, hang it on a wall somewhere. Lol As far as glue idk, custom intake? I wouldn't bother. Assuming there isn't now a giant hole in your intake that is.
  6. I vote exhaust shop, it's a huge PITA to build your own without a bender or a lift.
  7. I'd actually be willing to pay far less for a swapped RX than an original one, but I'm probably one of a handful of people that feel this way
  8. The Gabriel strut is the problem, pick up some kybs (as they produced the original subaru shock in the first place) and go from there Artrat- I'm not arguing, I am dismissing the incorrect information before the OP goes the wrong path and waste time and money. And the 5 lug swap for the last time WILL NOT MOVE THE MOUNTING POINTS IN THE REAR, the front is a whole other ball game
  9. Wow, First off you have a non turbo ea82, it's not going to "shoot coolant out if a headgasket" Infact I'd kill for my DL back because it was the most reliable vehicle I've ever had. Secondly, 5 lug swap is not the best solution as the problem is in the rear and a swap does not change the rear mounting point. Cut springs is NOT a solution Koni inserts do NOT effect ride height I'm going out of town this weekend but next, if you want I will search for 2wd stuff for you.
  10. Bushings can cause weird alignment. Is it a ea82 car? If so there is adjustment in the trailing arm, the 3 bolts in the middle of the arm but it's been a while since I've looked at one, something about it moving foward and backward as well as for and aft adjusting toe and camber, the problem you have is too much negative camber on that side. Caster is non adjustable in the rear nor would you physically see the difference
  11. Correct, although I believe 2wd XT struts were the shortest front strut you could buy. But in short I don't trust any aftermarket company to have correct lengths. OEM is the only route I would take in a stock strut/shock setup
  12. TWE header, td04, modified 3" wrx down pipe, 3" catback with a 18" resonator, no cat or muffler Crazy loud and would never pass an emissions test.
  13. Holy crap, you have a DL. Just like my first XT. From the way it's sitting it looks like you have 4wd struts on there
  14. Twin I beam is the name for that suspension And as stated it sucks. Not to mention the weight added and headache, fab time requires for a inferior suspension.

    88 RX

Yada yada yada, car has sat. Somewhat. Decided forget autoX with their stupid rules I'm building an all out what can this ea do RX with much awsome. Getting back to work on it. The manifold is currently being modified to fit a wrx injector with a areomotive style rail with an lines so on and so fourth, I gotta 5 lug the car, pulling a set of carb'd pistons to send to CP to have a forged set made. The celica intercooler got chucked in lue of a jdm legacy A2W with a jaspco pump. The distributor is getting milled to put a dust cap on it and I'm gunna run a ls or subaru coil (like the 22 ones) and I'm stripping the car for a cage and such Partial gutting:
  16. +1 The last bit, I completely agree with. Designing something and putting it into production is a time consuming thing as well as costly as hell. I'm sorry but not having the money for a adaptor plate and having to do it in a weekend is going to end in headache. Save up some money and take some time off, rushed/under budget projects never end well.
  17. It's been a while since I've ventured to this thread. It's looking great man! What piston did you decide on using?

    97 L Wagon

Yea, it's a pretty solid comparison to an RS, the factory 22 looks like a joke when put side to side with the franken motor, I'll be updating dyno graphs the more I do to it. Next week I get a header that I'm VERY excited to see how it does, following that, intake, then cams, LOTS of headwork and finally some ecu trickery that I'm keeping under raps until I see how it pans out. Id be stoked with say, 200wtq
  19. Fair enough. What kinda boost are you running or is pretty much stock. Your links are kind of a pain to navigate on mobile.
