Nice, what have you got the weight down to on that car?
-
Lol, blue is torque red is horsepower. Solid line is mine, the dotted line is a 2.5rs
-
do you mean xt6? have a pic? only the 6 came with 14" rims and wont work as its 5x100 other than that it would be a puegot or aftermarket rim.

Really loving the new engine. In town milage has gone down a mpg, highway increased by 4! I'm good with that. The 642 headgaskets seem to have no issues with cooling, maybe a bit when your really thrashing on it but it's a tiny increase at most
-
My car vs 99 2.5rs with a header. EDIT: the 25 had a full exhaust
-
Ah, forgot I switched to bugeye front seats, 04 WRX shifter assembly with kartboy bushings. Suspension includes 04 STi struts with spec B springs.

Thought I'd start a thread on my wagon as the RX is under super secret build status at the moment. So this is how I bought it: 97 L, 349k miles, 2.2, 5 spd, awd, RS seats, STi catback, mid pipe cat delete, RS brakes. Had a ton of fun with it, couple trips to the dragon: Trip to CMP on borrowed 215/45/16s: Added some hella 500ff lamps and legacy rims: Noticed some blue smoke on decel so I did a leak down and 45% leak down on number 3 past the rings..... Crap Took a chance on a 2.2 with excellent leak down for 100 bucks. Installed it. Rod knock... Double crap. Sooooooo pulled a 251 short block from a scrap bin at work. New pistons/rings/ACL race bearings/Sti 642 headgaskets and bam! Frankenmotor. Gunna finish it up tomorrow morning and dyno it after work. If all turns out well, carbotech xp6 or 8 pads and slotted rotors with some brembo fluid coming up next.

EA82T blow off valve BOV / recirculate anyone ?
rpholz replied to jono's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Disregard, didn't fully comprehend the question first -
97 impreza L wagon. 350xxx on the original motor(and headgaskets!) Has survived daily abuse, the dragon(several times) and a session around CMP. I'm thoroughly impressed on this little 22

What crossmember did you use? Looks like a 2L..
-
Replaced the front pads/calipers And got the hatch installed
-
Rewired the injectors. Found out my map vacuum line location was in a poor spot, having my friend/boss go over the tuning. It's moving along pretty well. Unfurtunetly he is super OCD so my wiring may get pulled apart and redone. So we can put the companies stamp of approval on it. Lol Also I need to locate a stock turbo to fall into class guidelines
-
Idk, from the looks of it this 3dr is pretty clean. Hard to imagine 10x better
-
To add to what turbone said, The copper washer should be the same as say a td04 washer, just make sure to replace both (4 in total) one on top and bottom of each water pipe
-
Located a totally rust free hatch for 80 bucks
-
I've got a haltech running my RX. I won't comment on megasquirt. Evo8 injectors fit as well, but unless you plan on running all the boost there are a bit overkill.
-
Coil overs done in the rear, front is gunna take some work. Locked drivetrain was stuck center diff actuator
-
Problem began before I even got it on the trailer.
-
Well, the car is in North Carolina, drivetrain however is locked up. Not sure what's going on with that other than maybe the diff lock is stuck
-
Bump! Getting the car this weekend

How can I tell if my Subaru is a DL, GL or GL-10?
rpholz replied to Vortex's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Nope DLs had no p/s or passenger mirror. Also had a back seat delete and manual windows Trust me, I had a 86 XT DL -
Wish you weren't in Oregon, I'd gladly buy your EA82t and d/r

1989 RX coupe EA82T 4EAT restoration
rpholz replied to Hydropneumatic's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I 3rd any 4wd crossmember will fit. It would be such a waste of time and money to fabricate 19 variations of the same exact crossmember.
