  1. I checked the batt terminals on Monday as I washed the car I don't think the alternator is the original.
  2. I will chime in however I'm late... i brought the speedy racer headers from ebay for my 95 Legacy they fit fine and I did not have to do any pulling or bending. I never got any CEL code from the headers and they have been on for a good 7 months now. No cracking... I upgraded from the stock 95 exhaust to a stock 2.5GT borla a little more rumble but still not loud enough for me so I will be offloading it soon. *edit* DO NOT USE THE HEADER GASKETS THAT COME WITH IT!!! Trust me on this.. I cheeped out because i forgot to pick some up on the way home.. the gasket lasted not longer then about an hour...
  3. yep like they said C-clamp is the way to go and just be mindful of not trying to force it to retract fast. *edit For a pin I filed down a small allen wrench which I had a size i knew I'd never use and it held fine for the 4 times I had to keep resetting the tensinor because of incorrect timing.
  4. So I just came back went to the park and turned on my hi beams and my HID lows, hazard light and sat inside in reverse with the blower on high and radio and also trying to roll 3 windows up at once. Anyways I had the glove box open which I changed to a bright LED and I looked at the dome light and with the hazard's on the light had a wavy looking appearance and while the radio did not cut off it's hard to say.. And i doubt voltage testing the alt is going to tell me anything?
  5. I wont complain too much I got the car for $400 with 195K on it besides pulling the motor lets me get to the other goodies that need to be replaced.
  6. Ahh I see mine is plastic on the 95 and leaking I picked up a plate from the dealer months ago, going to do the clutch and everything in one shot.. seems like it was ok to replace the clutch but not the TOB at the same time.
  7. I thought models higher then 1996 already had stamped metal separator plates?
  8. I can't remember if it was on but I do know I used the blinker many of times while stopped and the issue did not happen again.
  9. I was pulling out of work and I had my HVAC blower on 3 (95 Legacy) and the radio was on, I was next in line to pull out and sitting in neutral I noticed my radio went off then came back on and I heard the speed of the blower motor dip then come back up. No warning lights came on and never happened again on the drive home
  10. I got 14" steels on my 95 that's going to change at the end of this month.
  11. i have to double check again but the font peice is shot along with the gasket that goes around it and the passenger side cover is missing and the screw that holds the side covers on just snapped the plastic in one turn
  12. man I need a cargo cover but don't want to spend $60+ for it. I checked ebay and meh maybe once in a blue moon a DECENT price will show up.
  13. Wow a 94 legacy?!!? They look like they never been sat in good find! Good to know it's easy to get at I'd have to check it out this weekend maybe. Also my car is so bouncy it's crazy I plan on getting GR-2's and some H&R Springs so a already low car is going lower.
  14. Are those impreza seats you put in the wagon? Man I need new seats in my 95 Legacy so bad.. I doubt I can do them before next month given the stuff I need to do first. *EDIT THE DOOR LOCK TIMER!!!! (sorry for caps) where in the car did you see that??? It's to lock the car doors mine might need replacement and I can't figure out where it is but sounds like it's near the glove box area sounds like a relay clicking. The car will sometimes try to keep locking it's self or if I lock my drivers door the other doors don't lock but say 5 min down the road the doors just lock.. really annoying hearing the doors locking over and over again 10 times driving down the road. Also your other post where your car hops sideways in a turn haha same thing my car is doing.. Not a cool feeling and not fun in the snow.. From what I hear worn tophats do that? nevertheless my struts are blown at 222K and I plan on getting springs for the car too next month.
  15. Sweet I just wanted to make sure they sold the parts lol.. I see the diagram on the site now.
  16. I wonder does mine require replacement? The buckle that snaps in on the drivers side well the part that keeps the buckle from falling all the way down to the floor somehow was broken off when I brought the car. And it's annoying to sometimes have the buckle fall between the door and the seat or getting caught in the door or having to open the door to get the buckle.
  17. I have a question you know the bolt or screw (can't think off hand) that keeps the front cover on well old age on my has mine cracked or rusted together which broke the whole left side over (facing engine) the question is the new cover from the dealer does it come with the front cover that goes over the TB and the rear cover that mounted on the engine?
  18. My date is on my 95 Legacy I can't remember off hand but it was sometime around late 94 of I remember right.
  19. it was rather painless the gasket was shot to hell.. I think one may of fell down into the headers a small piece.. but last week of this month I will be replacing the cats anyways
  20. The day i got the stud and nut I had a hard time trying to thread the stud in. I spent about 20 min on my back trying to thread it in but it never would catch.. but then again I did not remove the header.. I'm hoping I don't have to remove the header because I did not buy the gasket for the header to cat
  21. yes the stud and nut came to like $16... I wonder if worn motor mounts could attribute to making the bolts become loose faster?
