  1. This.. I know as my tires are almost fully worn my right rear causes a vibration and now I've got the front starting.. it gets stronger if you put more weight on that tire i.e. merging into left lane, next week I've gotta get the tires on plus I can take those wheel weights off and powder coat the wheels since the silver is showing with all those rock chips.
  2. I think so lol let me check, yep it's you lol I saw a guy the other day with a tan sedan like yours but with a silver OB front bumper minus it not being color matched it looks pretty good on a non SUS model.
  3. One guy did that about 2 years ago and got himself stuck, I could not pull him out since they just plowed and my winter tires had no studs and I'm not going to tug a stuck car in reverse.. I remember for the first 40 or so miles the shifter got really notchy more so then normal.
  4. ^Hmm your car looks like I seen it around on SLI.. did you need a center diff to complete it? If not forget what I said then lol
  5. That's the whole pain.. I might try ebay.. trying to find something other then a 1st gen in a junk yard that you can pull yourself is a pain. If it's not that then I'd have to go to plan B.
  6. My magic smoke came from the back of the gauges because of a simple error in the house.. I was checking the LED strip with an AC adapter instead of DC, went in the car and I had a short on the back of the traces on the gauge cluster.. Long story short all my dash lights are on but I can't adjust the brightness, I mean it's fine where it's at with not being able to adjust but it would be nice to have it back again.. Plus I'm not sure if these are model specific or what, but I can't see how it really can be..
  7. I get a 1/3 misfire code every now and then but if it was not for scanning the code you would never know.. However Looking at my time I last did the plugs I was at 227,156 I'm at 247,256 now So that's what some 20K I'm seriously thinking about putting the PFR5B-11 this time around
  8. Does anyone know what this unit does? Does it control the dimming function of the dash?
  9. My passenger side is bad where that strip was it's to the point where the rust is moving a little past the inside of the door, I'd have to take a picture of it.. I would wield it but my wielder is 90A far too strong for body metal.
  10. my 97 OBW has rust in that same spot for the rear doors on both sides for the rear also the right rear finder where that stupid plastic part is rust is really bad in that area.. Not sure what to do since I want to paint the car this year.
  11. That looks almost as bad as the one I split from my OBW.. the roller bearings fell out and somehow ended from the tailshaft to the front diff and fell between the case and the diff.. It was fun to open.. crap, it's been like 4-5 months and I still have those parts in the basement I need to get rid of... The only thing I think I will save is the reverse switch and speed sensor No point in saving the front diff? I did not see anything wrong on the face and backside of the teeth.
  12. Can't show the picture because it got messed up somehow but 97 OBW 247,278 and 0-60 in 10.6 s not bad at all
  13. My first ride was in a 1st gen turbo Legacy I did not ride in another until mid 2002 or 2001 I think it was. Most stuff people touched on already, I don't think I could of had a better brand to be with.
  14. I have a question you know if you pull the filter out of the PS pump reservoir what's what round part laying down in the reservoir?
  15. Organic pads will make this feeling, Since I was due for a pad change I switch over to ceramics, I've put over 30K on and no more warped feeling, I did the same on my last legacy I had too plus hardly any dusting up of the wheels which is a plus.
  16. terminals not making a good connection but still getting a new battery this weekend.
  17. I thought Subaru batteries were pretty weak in cold climates? I know when I had my forester I could not wait to get rid of it.
  18. battery for sure is weak had to hook the jump pack up to it to start this morning it was 26 f out.
  19. Well I was due to rewire the whole battery to starter and the ground, but I ended up having to put it on hold, I need to get the hydraulic crimper, I have the battery posts and the ends that go on the wires, I just need the wires and the starter end terminal needs to be replaced. But this morning It started up fine going to work and coming home from work. Still regardless the battery is old.
  20. Yeah I figured It was not going to last that much longer but I will have to get another battery this Friday, I found out about the weak battery when out shooting pictures so the next few areas I shot pictures out I just left the car running while I was near by. They always fail at the worst times heh
