  1. Like I said I tested at idle with load but i know this never happened before.
  2. Now that I think about it the positive wire has a fare amount of corrosion on the wire.. I was going to switch the wire out but what gauge wire should I use?
  3. I've been seeing how my dash lights (converted all to LED) have been diming to the point of beeing almost off with the blower on high and AC on and headlights on.. However with the car at like over 2K and above the dash lights and all come on again. So I took some readings.. btw this is a Subaru reman alternator Battery at rest: 12.6v Running: 14.4v no load With load (i.e. headlights & AC) 13.2v After about 5 min running with the headlights and AC on voltage fell to 12.7 V running Any clues?
  4. Hmm so you can't use the ball joint from a stock legacy mirror on the Gentex is that right?
  5. I haven't had the light come back on yet but I can check the pipes but i don't think I have anything small enough to clean it out
  6. Still trying to get it done weekends are starting to find some free time.. meanwhile does anyone know what size that bolt was? I think I saw something on NASIOC but I can't remember what thread it was.
  7. I have to go out and check again but in the quick check I did opening the EGR the car would want to stall out. I don't remember if I have a click or not but my exhaust is so loud right now I might not be able to hear it.
  8. I just had this code pop up anyone know what could cause this? I assume it's some type of blockage?
  9. it seems impossible to find just the temp sensor by it's self I don't need a premade harness. nor does it say anything about having the mirror button which might be hard to find.. unlikey it will have the button.
  10. heh the part of my car that rusted out is where that stupid part is near the rear door right where the rocker panel and the door meet.. I never understood that.. I have to fix it up before I paint the car.
  11. Those are not stock tires right? sidewall looks smaller.. I can't wait to get off those size 70 sidewalls.. car rolls onto the sidewall when turning hard
  12. From what I found so far the 2002 and 2003 yukon's have the dual line,, I don't know about other makes but that's what I found so far.
  13. I just hate mirror mounts somehow a friend of a family somehow ripped off the window mirror that was used with that permatex stuff it ended taking a chunk of glass off as well. I understand it's like the only way but I have to hope it wont fall off but once I set my mirror I hardly touch it.. and being it's auto dim I would have less of a reason to adjust it. having said that which mirrors came with the temp and compress that's two line? The '99 tahoe is single line right?
  14. On the US map version I would be driving between zones I guess it wont matter much?
  15. haha good one.. Speaking of the T-stat I had picked up a new dealer one a week before the HG job.. I made sure I had everything I would need so I would have to do less running around. I know when I ended up putting coolant back in I don't think it took the whole gallon.. It's been awhile so I can't remember.. I think I just filled it with straight water then ended up flushing it again.
  16. I had that issue last year on my 97 OBW replaced the slave cylinder and that was the last of it.. Also bled it at the same time with a speed bleeder and it has never felt better!
  17. I know I'm not the first but what's the reason for the crack at the pivot point for the clutch fork? on the one that cracked from the I used white lithium grease but on the replacement I used molygrease
  18. I know you said you followed the haynes manual don't feel bad for me asking but did you tighten the bolts in the right order? Have you tried driving with the AC on yet? I found before doing my HG that was the quickest way to get it to overheat because the radiator has to deal with more extra heat.
  19. I swear I saw something on end wrench before it was taken down.. something about the '97-99 year range about CEL regarding a misfire but the misfire was not really true. For a example I replaced my starter contacts one day pulled the cable and all that hooked it back up.. I would get the classic 3 & 4 misfire every day.. I pulled the cable again when I did my transmission.. installed everything back and I haven't had it say anything. Seems like each reset is OK or I'm going to spit out these same codes over and over until you reset me again
