  1. Well like right now it's ok should I wait until I have a no start issue? Or can I see the voltage difference without waiting for a no start?
  2. Yeah I know trying to keep the alternator This site sucks on mobile can't upload the pics but heavy oxidation on the first 3 inches of the cable along with a burning smell.
  3. Question the nut that screws on is very tight he already picked up a reman alt and I wonder if I should use it?
  4. Forgot to post pictures but he ended up getting the wrong part from the dealer he got the battery cables to starter and ground.. I still don't see a part for it and he looks like he might have to crimp it.
  5. Well do you have the part number for the relay? It can't cost that much

  8. It's like a 100 wires in where should I be looking.. it's happening right now and I'm parked in a area I can't move easy
  9. No buzz no clicking at all.. all I hear is just the relays but if I start pumping the clutch it was then soon somehow make a connection and the starter gets power.
  10. Uh-oh.. I replaced the switch thinking it was ok.. so I had a large deposit at a ATM so I turned off the car, when it was time to leave again I tried to start and it was no go.. I found if I keep pushing and letting the clutch pedal go it will start up.. so now I don't know where to check next?
  11. So the one for starter lockout is just that and nothing with the ecu right?
  12. I was wondering is the switch just used to know when the pedal is depressed or does it tie into the ECU? I don't have the wire diagram on my laptop. My switch is going
  13. He went ahead anyways and ordered a new cable from the dealer. not sure how much it costs but it's going to take a few days.
  14. I have all that but I use my soldering iron for smaller electronic stuff so my highest wattage is 40w he told me the rubber cover was burned.. I don't have a crimper.
  15. The yard has a outback but the question is is it really involved in replacing the harness part for the alternator? I would crimp it but where would I find the connectors and what tool would do a good job of crimping?
  16. So you are saying it's a pain to get to and change it? I'm not out at my car right now to look.
  17. It's like pulling teeth trying to get info from him.. I tried to get him to send me a picture but all I know is he said the wire for the alternator output split near the part that gets screwed down.. so he is looking to get a replacement cable from the dealer but I can't see to find a part number for the cable?
  18. This sucks.. I was hoping to drive my car tomorrow.. I guess it's another week without driving it.. Since no one seems to have that can I convert the master cylinder to use the clutch line I have?
  19. No just leaking from the end that goes to the slave cylinder, the line burst about middle way on the hose.. so you are telling me friken Subaru has no part number for the hose??
