  1. Must have a level ground? the filler that goes to the tank does not go that far down.. you would only have issue if say your driveway was on a incline.
  2. have you ever looked inside the tank from Full to half a tank? not that much different visually..
  3. I too had this problem when I did the belt on my EJ22 but it was fine.
  4. yeah it wont leak after the fuel stops moving around and because it's under the lvel where the hole is.. What I'm just saying just get it as low as you can.. Not sure how far you are from the gas station but tryin doing it when the gauge is on Empty.. trust me I can run my car till it's almost resting on the peg.
  5. Mine would still leak driving until I got under 1/2 tank.. I'd say under 1/4 to be sure
  6. have you checked alternator voltage output? have you checked the ground and power wires?
  7. wait are you talking about the front 02 sensor or the rear? I have a lot of room on mine maybe stuff changed on the later models.
  8. Did this last night older style badges are a pain to get the chrome off.. it was going to be yellow and black at first but the yellow was not a deep enough yellow.
  9. I'm wondering why you were unable to use that type of oxygen sensor socket?
  10. Ash so it is slipping.. but it wont slip unless I'm in 4th and rev it to about 4500 then let the clutch back out.
  11. I'm still not that impressed maybe it's because i drove a 05 outback but I can't see what advantages you have and I'm not talking HP/TQ numbers.
  12. the short time I worked at the Subaru dealership I still don't understand what's so great about the H-6.. it's a slow reving pig :-/ and it felt no more powerful then the H-4 and more so less powerful then the turbo baja I drove... it was really bad when we had 4 people in the car and we drove across to street one other person committed on how gutless it felt.
  13. I gotta say I do miss the forester I've never drove a tribeca yet I've only sat in an '06 when they were new.
  14. hah she wants me to pick the car.. and she wants to put it in my name..I forgot to check the cargo area on the forester and the tribeca
  15. This is were I get confused.. if it's say stuck to the floor how is it that the clutch is engaged? I'm pretty sure it's the slave cylinder related sometimes it happens sometimes not. when shifting from 3rd to 4th on the highway it's slow to release and grab and the rpms make that known.. I've tried the 4th gear trick
  16. geeez.. did you have a code for a knock sensor???? Sounds like you are blindly just buying parts which is not a good thing...
  17. I did not read the whole thread yet but I used 1000 and 2000 grit sandpaper with a little water and plastix-X.. Looks good.. but my car stays outdoors so in about a week or 2 my headlights are back to looking hazy again.. Anyone know of a product that helps long term?
  18. heh well my mom does not care about looks haha I told her it's not about looks and I've been in deep enough stuff for her to understand that I've never heard anything bad about an 05 Forester turbo being prone under then the usual work that needs to be done as the car gets older.
  19. haha funny thing is when I was little I went into a place like that and man now I look back on that it's so trippy lol. but yeah look into that I think it will pickup the look of it
