  1. I used to always miss 3rd when shifting from 2 to 3 without the spring
  2. Easy... if your dealer does not stock the washer be ready to wait as they ship it from SIA...
  3. Hah I recall reading someplace that one of the model years for the outback had funky acting ECU's which would cause it to show misfire on 3&4.. now in your case it might be something.. I had it show for me while driving on the highway and flashing with no loss of power.. It's been like 5 weeks since it's come on\ have you checked the plug wires and spark plugs? have you tried misting down over the engine at night to see if you see any arching?
  4. what do stock Ej fans push for CFM's?
  5. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue but I notice from right turns only with the turn signal on and I let the wheel return to center on it's own my turn signal instead of stop flashing it will switch over to the left turn signal. At first I thought it was just me... I'm going to guess it's something with the roll connector? It's no big deal it just gets annoying because you never know when it might happen.
  6. Oh man I've been wondering this myself it's so tight in that area.. I was going to try something like that when I had my JDM rear tail lights it says "Legacy" instead of Subaru it would be pretty nifty.
  7. Figured it out but I had to ask for help lol the lights are on a switched ground so I had to tie the switch into the 12V. What a PITA the only reason why I switched back to the old fixture it seems to have some cutout for some type of light
  8. I'm hoping someone can help me with this since it's baffling me big time.. ok so the 97 OB has a single lead for 12V and the roof for ground.. Now I changed the map lights to LED's custom.. I moved them out of an 2002 WRX fixture because my passenger side was not working.. and thinking it was going to be simple 10 hours later I'm still trying to figure this out... in the other fixture my side worked fine but the passenger side did not because of the outback just having one lead for power.. SO I moved it back into the fixture that came in the car which is a lot simpler looking then the WRX.. however I can't get any light to light up.. but the funny thing is when I bring it inside on the bench and power it up the lights come on when the switch is not pressed but as soon as you press it, it shorts out and my power supply turns off So that's what has me confused.. here is what I can say now.. so far it looks like it's not grounded (wrx fixture had a quick connect for this) however when connecting to my PS it turns off when the switch is pressed which is backwards.
  9. Anyone know about how much it cost to get a replacement? the way so many grid lines got messed up makes me think they had some kind of tint on the rear window? Guessing that taking the tint will destroy the defrost lines?
  10. Oh man I can't wait to pull my motor to do my head gaskets and all the seals
  11. The thing about it is the hassle of going back in doing it say like 5-10K miles later down the road.. I checked rockauto and a pump for my motor is around $40 or so.. that's not really expensive to me given how long they should last for.
  12. the people on NASIOC say this is the best place in CT http://larryspower.com/index.html I just wonder how much its going to cost me lol looking at the website..
  13. Looks like its the grid lines looks like they may of had a tint on the rear glass... I have to get a close up shot
  14. I got one from ebay and it's been installed for 2 months and working fine. on a side note i took my old cracked one and hooked it up to my oscilloscope and tapped on it and it still worked.
  15. Seems like the switch is no good going by what my FSM says in the background I only get continuity if I press and hold the switch down on the pins as shown in the manual which is 3 & 5 should I jumper the plug that goes to the switch to check?
  16. first of all that's a mess.. you need to trace where it goes to and I can tell you that's not factory.. I've never seen any stock lin-line fuse on a Subaru.. and that 2nd picture is a fuse tap.
  17. Ah I was wondering if they were powdered coated.. looks to be satin black? I wanted to do my outback wheels that color for winter wheels
