  1. And I think my oxygen sensor is finally slowly going out.. for almost 2 months it's been fine.. but after I did a ECu reset after putting on a new muffler (magnaflow) it's sometimes stumbles from idle to about 2500. I was looking at the voltages at idle it's back and forth but last time I check with my o-scope I can't remember how fast it was reacting. Should I use a wrench or a socket for the oxygen sensor?
  2. I heard that's not good for the valves? having said that I've ran with just the headers on and boy is it loud.. I only did that to blow whatever was in the headers out.. lucky for me I get to do it all again in a few weeks.
  3. Ah good to know they have them no big rush, man I'm nearing $1,000 spent at rockauto
  4. I gotta do my liftgate supports too where did you get yours from? they don't look hard to do at all? I just hate having to remember to push it up enough so I wont bang my head.
  5. ^ I agree with everything said.. I went from a Ej18 from a 95 impreza to a Ej22 from a 95 legacy to a Ej25 from a 97 legacy outback and the whole tone of the engine is deeper.. and I'm really enjoying the extra power I can't remember too much but when I had my 03 Forester XS with the SOHC I do remember the low end being a tad better then the DOHC. most of the time driving around in town I'm already in 4th gear. Now I have to say this and I think it sucks.. and this is coming from me driving the Ej22.. but the extra weight on the flywheel on the EJ25 sucks.. downshifts and coasting will still keep the revs up.. and i don't slow down as fast as i did with the ej22.. having said that I still like it over all.
  6. it's no big deal I'm going to see if I can get it done now another thunderstorm but around 7 pm or so they say..
  7. the only thing I'm trying not to butt-weld is the coupler to the muffler I would rather is slip over but I guess in a pinch I could butt weld it.. I just want to make sure it's supported well. I'm about to see how many sections I will need.
  8. I figured it out by guessing the size and it's 1 7/8" However.. the reducer I have is a 2 1/4" to 1 7/8. I'm not sure if I can find one a tad larger then 2 1/4" to fit over my 2.25" inlet but keep the same 1 7/8" size.
  9. whats the smell of it? I'm betting front crank oil seal.. I had that happen on my Ej22 and my current ej25 Not really hard at all but depends on how much you know. Also could be the rear oil separator plate too
  10. hah don't think I will have help but it's no big deal.
  11. it's all behind that cover? I've removed it before on a 95 so it's not hard at all. when checking with the meter where should my ground be?
  12. I will check the fuse but the switch lights up and all when you press the button.
  13. Not really that much needed now only just when it's dew on the window.. but I've figured now it's hasn't been working. I haven't used my meter on the defrost lines but anything else I can check before I do anything else? I'm going to assume the wires that connect to the defrost lines are under the cover part where the motor is for the rear wiper?
  14. I thought all grey injectors are CA spec and red are for all other states.. at least that's what I found out when i thought I had to do injectors on my 95 every single place i searched the grey colored injectors were on CA bound cars.
  15. I had fun when I did my TB on the Ej22 so doing the headgaskets should be really fun on the EJ25D Finding time when everyone is not always asking for a ride is annoying
