  1. Thanks man.. yeah I feel bad but I'm still here to live another day
  2. I just don't want to screw up anything when I do the timing belt.. a Ej22 for 1999 would still be a SOHC right? and the EJ25 would be DOHC? edit yep just checked cars101
  3. lmao... I still got maplights coming in and my alternator belt.... I guess if the new legacy don't have maplights (rare) then I can pop them in.. if not I can sell them here when done retrofitting them.
  4. heh I already got my eye on 3 legacies right now so I'm wait to see how things play out in a few weeks.
  5. funny thing is I tried so hard to get an outback until I found my then legacy for $400 in Brooklyn, NY last year alone I put 30K on the car.. for it being 230,000+ it was very good. I will never forget.. 195,065 is what it had when I picked it up...
  6. yeah but I'm still here and that's all that matters I was looking forward to hitting 300,000
  7. wow man glad you are ok that looks very bad I feel for you since I crashed mine this morning.. sad day.. but I'm looking forward to getting back into another Subaru as soon as possible.. hopefully next month.
  8. 1998 & 1999 share the same issue right as far as the headgaskets and whole bottom end issue? I would have to get some amazing deal on the forester.. but most likely going to stick with the legacy the only forester I loved was my '03 FXS so it's now between a 95-00 Legacy I'm looking at.
  9. Here is my final mileage.. 1995 Legacy L wagon Brown
  10. man nice 2001 forester 5MT listed for $2K but did the HG have issues then still?
  11. yeah my nice JDM headlights smashed.. but it's ok.. lol.. I just got a new rear cat for the car sitting in my living room... amazing my radiator did not leak giving the damage..
  12. I think it's way too much damage.. and way more with out coll coverage.. I don't know how far back the engine got pushed.. I knew I was unable to move the shifter.. I'm about to head to the shop because my keys are still in the car.
  13. well just got off the phone with geico.. because I did not have collision on my car I would need to pay out of pocket with the damages...
  14. an EJ22 is fine I just could not remember if 96 was the cut off year for single port or dual. I'm not a fan of single ports more so after having my nice headers on my crashed car :-/
  15. dumb question time... So my emissions was due in April and my registration was due to be renewed now I don't have to worry about it?
  16. lets see all major engine changes are from '96 and onwards right? a 96 was the last year for dual port headers? and the last for the HLA? I'm trying to figure out what year's to avoid dealing with. I'm in no big rush I at least 9 weeks to pay around before I get serious
