  1. I can't wait. Should be a lot of fun to drive. Though it would be nice if it was a rx motor. But this one is supposed to have 108hp
  2. After looking really close to the pictures given and my setup. I think I got it pretty close to what it should look like. It runs but the carburetors will probably need rebuilt. Very excited as this is the only one I had ever seen. Hadn't seen the nsi motor, then researched it online. Hadn't seen the dual carburetor setup, then researched it online. Lol. I got this setup in a car with a ton of other subie goodies. This is the only intake that fits this motor as well <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://s149.photobucket.com/user/justinthesubie/embed/slideshow/Mobile%20Uploads"></iframe>
  3. Not really much there. Vac valve for the choke i think. Two other ones off of the carb just going nowhere. My choke linkage is not hooked up either. Trying to get pictures now
  4. Hello fellas. I came across a engine with dual carburetors. I believe I have a ea81 built by nsi airplane company with the dual carburetor setup from a Japanese rx. I really need a vacuum diagram for the dual carburetor setup. If anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated. Thanks. Justin
  5. that looks like it would be good.. I wasn't sure if I was having problems due to direction of the unit... I had mine pointing up near the same spot, seemed to seal alright but the readings were not correct.. was thinking about using a oil filter adaptor.. either way I really want to use the stock gauge if its possible.. thanks guys.. brat is bout done.. building the megasquirt system at the moment.
  6. hey guys! I tried looking around to see if anyone has put the ea81 oil pressure sending unit on a ej22 motor so it would operate the stock oil pressure gauge in the early 80s models.. I have not had any luck getting this to work properly and really want the stock dash to operate normaly.. im building a 82 brat with the ej22 turbo motor.. thanks for any and all help
  7. 1988 xt 1.8 4cyl sohc need help with timing.. due to bad info my car is not in time at all.. my books dont say much about my car engine where does the rotor point when at TDC? or 0 on flywheel/crank pulley? or does the flywheel need to be at the 3 marks? when looking at cap/rotor at front of car where are plug wires? some pictures would be great, but any help helps...
  8. i bought a vss simulator from engine wiring.. im not 100% sure but i think it can and will mess with the ECU.. since its always pulsing, the ECU thinks the car is always driving.. weird idle, trouble codes that dont make any sence.. ive got a '82 brat with a EJ22turbo... the car runs and drives, but will go into limp mode.. ive heard of bad vss causing weird ECU codes..
  9. i bought a '87 brat for $1500 and limped it home with a busted CV axle! 290k had been wrecked and fixed in the"driveway" and needed love in many other places.. im about to sell it and hoping for $2000.. i mite get my money back out of it but just barely.. i was driving it and some guy outta nowhere told me about a '82 brat that his friend had.. it was sitting for 4 yrs.. an 80 yr old man got it when it had 5k mi.. BONE STOCK.. lil rust, 135k, jump seats and canopy! so im the third owner and offered him $1500 for it.. i put a EJ22T motor and 5sp dual range trans in it and i dont see myself ever letting go of it!!!
  10. just got an '88 XT and changed it from a 2wd automatic into a 4wd 5sp transmission and now just need to figure out the wiring.. she runs and drives if i run a hot lead to the starter.. wont start with original wiring.. i would like to change it to a 5 lug and want to know all the details on how to do that as well!! any help is great!! thanks
