$700 usd, from Rallispec. I've got another d/r lined up thanks to Island Roo so once they arrive we'll see if it can be done.
-
Thought about it alot, I think SJR's 6" lift kit moves it back slightly.

WOOT!! we're back on!

I'm going to donate again I'm probly due, there's a few people around here that are talking about it too(lurkers and a few posters). For most people I know 25 or 50 bucks to help with bandwidth is money well spent. -
Mark, come for a ride in the Legacy. It's got me thinking about ditching the spfi swap for an ej22t! Sure once you crank the boost those tiny little axles/cv's are going to snap, but that's what lifetime warranties are for right

Ha:lol:

You can clock the inlet, but you will have to have a new bracket fabbed up for the wastegate actuator. I will try to take some pics of this once it's installed.

better breathing turbo with catless downpipe
Vanislru replied to Skip's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Brian-The Subaru Junkie, had his up for sale a couple of days ago in the market place. Nice looking downpipe. I would've bought it but I like bellmouthed DP's a steal at the price he's looking for. -

Wow, sounds like you've got some personal experience with all of that. -
Its winter time (well, its COLD) so that means...

NASIOC, and from looking at all the timesheets posted too. -
Most likely a leak in your hose routing for the IC, When you aren't boosting the cars running a bit lean from air coming in that's not being measured by the maf. When you are boosting air is escaping that's being measured by the maf so the engine runs rich cause that air it supplied fuel for is not in the cylinder it's under the bonnet somewhere :/

More like 29's or 30's I worked out all the ratio's once and I think it worked out to 28.78" with 4.44's would be like stock 175/80/13's. Yeah a grand's not too much to pay for close to stock gearing IMO I jjust hope it works and I haven't gone through all the work for nothin.

When is that Will? ATB to you in advance, from what I've read here and elsewhere you'll be tough to beat. -

Would they really notice if you ported the wastegate a teeny bit. It's not like it's a performance enhancer or anything. All boost creep issues I had stopped when i ported the gate just a little bit. OR what about moving the wastegate sol. forward a tad so it opens the gate a bit more, that's not illegal is it? -
To convert a d/r L/leone/ea82 series gear box you swap the r+p's tha't it. No center diff to mess with, the pinions are the same length. I'm not a 100% positive of this but I will find out in about 1 months time.
-
4.44's are available for manual as well, JDM imorters' have them and Rallispec sells the R+P's seperately for both the front and rear. Almost a thou. buck US for both.
-
I don't think you'll find many peeps from Canuckistan that need/want smuggling to the US lol.

Looks good! Have you added anything to the interior of that ABS pipe to increase it's strength? A can or 2 of expanding foam would do wonders and weigh nothing. Just a thought.

The next car I'm looking to build will be/have; 86 gl-10 twagon 6" SJR lift 9:5-1 ea82t/maybe ej22t F/R LSD 4.44 gearing 29"x9.5 tsl's, maybe some other tires :/ with a nice roof rack for the spare and stuff too.

If you use the search feature for the retrofitting forum you will find several IC setups most TM but some FM, gravelrx has a sweet front mount. FM take alot of work to make the hose routing flow well. Raven TBK I think wrote up and linked parts #'s for the alt. swap which is in the retro forum too.I don't have time to search and post the links for you, kids clawing at me right now. ATB

85 turbo wagon hard start
Vanislru replied to Island Roo's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Probly the fuel pump mybe get another 5 years out of it. I've had 2 turbo wagon's where the surging got unbearable and the new pump's that I installed pepped them up. I want to install a high press. in a safer location at some point on the offroader. -

Oh yeah the digi dash, I fuggin hate those. Useless and ugly. This problem is most likely something that's been overlooked, stupid gremlins... -

Why? I think they are the same. The prob you have isn't vac advance related I don't think. Time to try stabbing it with 1 of my disties? I checked the shaft on that turbo when I had it out so it's not that. I'm thinking TPS out of adj [maybe why there's no code?], I'd check the pos. as per manual, and at the same time pull of the top intake piece and check the throttle mech. on the op. side of the TPS. Did you check the vac advance on the disty Mark? I'm going to be working on Rianna's car all day so if you want to borrow some parts to swap drop by. What sor of vac is the car running at idle druing warm up? It'll drop with the rpm's when it does sputter but if it drops BEFORE then that might be something to look into.
