  1. I think they were 215/75/r15 heres some what of a pic of them on the front. we were test fitting them on a parts car. the offset is good too you will need to trim at the front and rear corners on the front fenders, and you may need to roll the fenders in the rear. or add bumpstops in the rear strut... old radius rod bushings work well. i put them in both my lifted wags. jut cut the rod bushing and slide it between the spring and around the strut rod.
  2. I'm guessing they are these? they will drill just fine, just get a drill bit thats a little larger than the stud, and one thats a bit bigger than that to make the seat for the lug. if you have a spare rear drum it will make your life alot easier. basically use it as a template knock 2 studs out and drill through them. ALSO those rims may need the center hole opened a little to sit on the hubs correct (they went on an ea81, may not be the same as an ea82). a dremmel or a die grinder will make quick work... i used a rat tail file and it took me a couple hours. if you do the hubs instead of the rims life will get a little difficult if you strip a hub.
  3. hmmmm....best way to tell is to check the code. it could be any number of things. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/47526-subaru-ecu-codes-for-1983-1988/ I know it says 83-88 but it should be mostly the same for a 90... also, i didn't know they made DL in 90. i thought in 90 they went to loyale.
  4. if you need help with that justy I can give you a hand.
  5. the head gasket idea has crossed my mind... i hope it isn't... but i haven't noticed any steam, water oil mixing or coolant loss.
  6. yeah, if the car was actually overheating i wouldnt have opened the cap, but like i said the car wasn't hot, I actually put my hand on the head and it wasn't hot, not sure what caused this problem but it hasn't done it since.. although the coolant did shoot up really high. Ive never seen this happen on a motor that aside from what the guage said was not overheating.
  7. it doesnt show it well but the ruts in that hole are actually pretty deep it was made by trucks on 44's.. the jeeps got stuck on thier diffs
  8. i replaced the therostat last year. But im thinking about just getting another. And yeah was not expecting an explosion of coolant.. I think the sending unit was in an air bubble which is why the gauge read so hot. The car normally runs very cold. I put a 160 thermostat in it.
  9. Well i filled the car back up and drove it all day no issues. I think the car might have just been pissed at me
  10. Oh trust me i know not to open the rad.. Normally there will beba little antifreeze that comes out but this time there was nothing and yes i know im lucky
  11. so. I was driving my 87 turbo wag, when I got home I noticed my temp gausge was a little high. so I let it run for a while and the gauge went higher and higher til it hit the red so I shut it off. I get out and pop the hood I check the normal things, the rad was cool, the hose had a little pressure, the motor was deffinatly not hot.. so I loosen the rad cap, there was a small hiss. then nothing. so I pull the cap off everything seems normal. then about 3 seconds later.... WOOSH a ten foot guyser shot out of the rad and covered me in luke warm antifreeze.. NEVER have I had this happen before. I think it might have been a clog.. not sure though. Thoughts?
  12. by the time your brats all put back together I should have a new toy to drive... I think you'll like it
  13. I'm going to have to come over and drool on your new paint...
  14. sorry to hear that... the wagon looks awesome!....
  15. you want some off a mazda or isuzu the flat 6 lugs will be perfect like these
  16. i put a set of kyb gr2'in my turbo wagon and i love them, i put a set of monroe in my carbed wagon and they suck, the factory shocks were better.. but the adjuster ring sliped so i had to replace them
  17. yeah the fronts will fight you... Looks good! now you just need some tires.
  18. Sounds awesome! I may have to come buy some of those SBC parts.... like mayhaps one of those superchargers .....I'd love to come out and get the subie up to par, a welded rear will deffinatly help with that. the other stuff might be a little much because its going to be on the road most of the time. but I will take all the help I can get. the camaro I'm gettin is in good shape but it needs some work.. mostly engine stuff. I dont know much about SBC's but i know a holley 800 double pumper has no place on top a stock 350 with stock headers and the wrong intake. I still have your number I think, If i do i'll give you a call so we can work out a time for me to come out. also post that lift here if you havent already, someone here will buy it
  19. I dont have any spare cash for it atm, plus i'd rather someone else pick it up and have another lifted subie to play with. I haven't put that alt in yet, been busy and its not going in this car, its going in this one: I'm also selling the blue gl-10 in about a month to pick up a 78 camaro, so i may be buying one of those intakes you have posted on cl the camaro has been ghetto riged in many ways and one is the incorect manifold.
  20. It should route under the steering linkage then to the trans. instead of looking up a cable for an 87, look up a cable for a 91 loyale, in 87 there was still some ea81 cars being made this will confuse the parts guy. so to make it easier just look up for a 91-94 loyale. its the same cable/
  21. Just what i was going to say.. i bought a set of axles from my work, lifetime warranty. after you switch a couple axles you figure out a quick way to do it. I can do both front axles on a non lifted rig in about an hour, hour and a half if its lifted... my car has been apart and back together several times so I dont have to fight with rusty bolts. I would rather get them exchanged than reboot them anyday.
  22. may want to check the power junction under the carpet on the passenger side floorboard... its 5 red wires joined together. it corodes under the carpet, nd if you have tosed anything heavy into the floorboard it may have broke it.
  23. there are some rims out there for 4x110, and it wouldnt be that hard to adapt it to a different pattern. there are a few gear choices, like 4.11 3.9, 3.7 gears all subaru gear choices.. if you went with the non lsd you could weld it, and i know it would be stronger than the stock subaru setup. but this is all just an idea, maybe in a few years i'll put it into practice.
