  1. Looks like an ac component.. Judging by the size of the rad it would have to be topmount
  2. Ive only had a few people say my car was crap..we raced, they lost, i laughed. Although, my new wagon wont win any races.. Lift it is!
  3. How bout mounting a small airtank there and use the ac compressor as the pump? Idk if it would power air tools but it would air up tires.
  4. I just got a 91 loyale with 3at mine engine brakes in 1 and 2 but not in D In D mine just coasts when i let off the pedal Hope this helps.
  5. Also a direct match for the escort seats is mazda mx3 I used to have an mx3 that came with no seats so i put escort seats in. Later i got the seats back from the p/o they are nice buckets that sit alot lower. Not sure if it helps at all, just passin on some info.
  6. how about a Detroit locker?..out of all the options it seems the easiest
  7. i sold my 87gl-10 wagon...:( but every cloud has a silver lining(gunmetal in this case).. heres my new wag! its a 91 loyale 4wd auto with 142k scored this beaut for 800. with a parts 94 wag to go with it. runs good shifts good but it needs a new fpr to be reliable and an oil change as the oil is more gas than oil..:banana::banana:
  8. I need to print off like 800 of those and keep them in my glovebox just for those occasions.. Although i dont belive in keying someones car. its not the cars fault the owner is an idiot.. Slashing tires is better.
  9. check the fuel pressure regulator pull the vac line and see if its leaking fuel.
  10. Weber carb and hp cams from delta should do the trick.
  11. i dont think its a fuel supply issue but maybe a fuel control issue? if it were a supply issue i think the problems would be more apparent a higher rpms especially in boost i wonder if its that egr control solenoid. i know when you push up on the egr valve the rpm will drop. could be the issue. maybe its getting vac when its not supposed to and it goes away during boost? did this problem show itself before you replaced that?. could be worth it to put the old one back together and put it back and see if the problem goes away. maybe with a peice of metal tubing inside to reinforce the break and then some epoxy. i think retracing your steps may lead to the answer because the car was running very very well. as close to new as an 85 can run so its gotta be something simple. but then again the car sat for 16 years so all the rubber bits are suspect. like the egr diaphragm and the fpr diaphragm vac lines fuel lines etc. but i think if it was fpr you would be running very rich or very lean. thats the problem with that wagon im working on. bad fpr its just gouting fuel out of the vac line.hard to start wont idle and its hard to rev but once you put your foot down it goes like a scalded ape.
  12. Hey i read apost saying your windows dont work. Ive dealt with this problem its either the wires betwen the door and the body or theres a small plastic connecter that gives all windows power under the carpet in the pass side foot well. it gets smashed or corroded and you wont get power .. I thought id pass along the info..

  13. Did i read that right? 350ftlbs tq and 120hp? 16.3 compression ratio??? So much want... That needs to be in a lifted wagon with a d/r..
  14. shop around tho some shops might not do it and some might but charge wayy too much.. a subaru shop would be the best bet i think it might be worth it to ask around BEFORE you pull the hub off. just to make things go more smoothly
  15. oriellys should have them rockauto should too.. and i think theres even a way to get ones that are better but a direct replacement.. IIRC they are only like$27 ea(you need 2..) http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/BCA0/207/03336.oap?year=1987&make=Subaru&model=GL-10&vi=1268681&******=Search_C0055_1268681_3158&pt=C0055&ppt=C0337
  16. its eazy to do as they are all the same (ea82s anyway) ive actually replaced both my front knuckles..but i had a parts car..or three. you would be better off buying the bearings and taking the hub to a shop and pay them a half hr shop time to put them into the hub much cheaper that way. you might even be able to rent a bearing press. but that might be a little more spendy.
  17. ive put my ea82t alll the way to the redline...almost daily..depending on how many ricers are out. 8.5k is the most ive gone but i think it will go further.. ive got the 3.90 non turbo d/r with 23 splines it had a 3.70 turbo 5mt with 25 splines
  18. nope.. wish i had bought it though 3k for that? great deal. oh well, maybe in a few years when its beat to s**T i can buy it and put it back to its epicness. maybe ej'ed
  19. thanks! I like to think its pretty nice.. It still needs a few things but im broke atm
