  1. Posted a video its pretty dark so I'll make another tomorrow http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iolww_Tz2Kc
  2. It's yellow with black racing stripes interior is tan quad headlights runs amazing aside from the exhaust being out from under it. missing a mud flap the heater doesnt work no real dents to speak of there some rust but nothin that can't be cut away for bigger tires needs shocks in the back and a lil touch up on the paint but honestly best 150 I have ever spent.
  3. Once I fix the cv I'll bring it over for u to see.
  4. I will deffinatly be getting a cv from you and it's got ok wheels and tires and idk if I'll sell it. Would make a great wheeler
  5. Just picked me up an 84hatchie 4sp d/r 146k miles 2 owners and bcause of a bad cv I gott it for $150 current tags and all.. I've got a cv from an ea82 wagon would thAt work?
  6. Wow really comin together I can't wait to come check it out!
  7. also just for anyone who looks over this page the heater switch is very easy to rebuild.. once you get it apart its pretty self explainitory just dont lose the incredibly small ball bearing and the holy crap is that a grain of sand?! small ball bearing. i did mine last night worked like a charm.. a lil bit of sanding and a new spring for the high power connection a lil scrapeing and good to go!
  8. 87gl-10 wagon finnally fixed my power windows! and in celebration a car wash and tune up for my baby fyi if the wires in the door jam arent the problem its a small blue connector with 5 red wires under the carpet on the pass side foot well mine was smashed and corroded to the point it looked like 5 red wires being connected with jolly rancher crumbs..2 pieces of wire and 3 wire nuts later and they work again!
  9. well its my daily driver for now but as soon as the temp gets above 32f its coming off the road for body work lift etc etc..right now however, i need it to charge at idle with the heater on full blast. maybe even with the head lights and the stereo on.. too many times have i been at the door talking to a customer and my car just dies in their drive way. so no more of that. im going to do the maxima upgrade and hopefully im going to find the correct 11mm spacer at fastenal. my other wagon has the correct 2 belt pulley on it so im not worried about that.. and! i checked schucks and the maxima one and the oem one are the same price give or take a few cents. and since my plans include alot of electronics im going to need it. my wagon has 243k miles on it... and the alt thats on it right now appears to be new.
  10. under the carpet in the passenger side foot well there is a bundle of 5 red wires that on my car were corroded to the point that none of the windows worked. i found this out after i pulled the door off took the entire wiring harness out of the door unwrapped and checked every wire. also the location of the relay and control unit is under the pass front seat close to the door jam. so if only one of the windows doesnt work then all of the sudden none of them work i'd check that first.
  11. ok. you got me.. but that still doesn't answer any of my other questions.. lol
  12. 87gl-10 wagon ea82t ptd/r well im done with my car not charging at idle with the heater on. i start car, runs for 10 mins then shuts off. 30 mins later i come outside expecting a nice warm car instead i get a dead battery. so! i have seen many threads about alternator swaps and since i have a pretty big stereo im going to go with either the maxima or the gm swap. and what i wanna know is which one is the best bang for my buck? or should i go with an ej alt.? here in alaska we dont have many junkyards. so anything i buy will be new/reman from napa or schucks. i have basic tools but im always looking for an excuse to buy more. i think im going to need a grinder no matter what. the wiring doesnt really concern me. but the pulley and how it mounts does. so what i need is some brains to pick, anyone whos done this swap would be good. because im going to need the years and what engine the gm alt. comes from. looks like 2.8 or maybe iron duke. because i will have only a day or so to mess with it. i work full time as a pizza delivery driver. if i had more time i wouldnt even post this but since i drive the car every day i thought id make a list first. and try to do it all at once. links to old threads very welcome! because honestly i have not even the slightest clue on how to go about even searching for those
  13. no problem on those pugs! cant wait to see your brat sitting on some 27" all seasons should look pretty awesome!
  14. check the vendor section theres a nice 2 inch lift kit for 100+shipping no steering shaft mod or diff lowering..
  15. you know idk why none has mentioned this but why not just put in a hydro ebrake and keep the stock front parking brake?..
  16. 87 gl-10 5speed d/r 3.90 ratio.. would it be possible to remove the rear diff and still drive the car? going to put the lsd into a 3.90 case
  17. +1 on the towrope.. i live here in alaska so its possible to wake up to an extra 3 feet of snow. so i keep a rope in the back at all times... nothin makes my day like shame dragging explorers astro vans jeeps and all fwd cars. lol i even got to pull a newer legacy.. i love the looks on peoples faces when i yard them out 87gl-10w 5mtd/r completely stock! although wish they would all go in the ditch so i can do the speed limit!.. there is no reason to do 27mph on the highway.
  18. it is indeed. just did one earlier just dont loose any of the tiny pieces in the carpet.
  19. 87gl-10 wagon. only 1 doesnt work. the drivers side. i rebuilt the drivers panel. all looks good. even checked with a known to be good switch. checked the motor goes up and down fine with hot power. checked the wiring to the motor with a test light.has power.. but very little and its inconsistent. jiggled wires watched the light...nothing.. im at a loss im going to take the wiring apart and check everything.. anybody have any experience with this problem? have power and grounds to all the right places..
  20. oh and i mean longer down travel... it might see some air. hence the stiffer springs and the upgraded rear shocks
  21. the name will be white noise. because it will be completely unassuming. you wont notice it till i want you to. like at the start of a race...muahaha
