  1. I don't know...when i had my 1.8 impreza it seemed slower then my 1.8 ea-81 gl. FWIW the impreza was awd and the gl is fwd
  2. they aren't dogs but they aren't fast either. Just a great solid engine. If the impreza is a 5 speed it will help a lot. Keep it up above 3300 and it will move very well. You know what they say.... "you just got to know how to drive it"
  3. yeah man props to you for getting it back and props to eveyone who is offering to help you get it back 100%
  4. very cool! shawn you are a heck of a guy! Andrew: let me know when it gets there...maybe a road trip to CT
  5. ...and the 3.3 in the svx was a 2.2 with 2 more cyl put to it (so i have been told)
  6. I was told that they went out of production back in April of this year... but I will also say that I wouldn't argue with subyluvr either since he works at a dealership.
  7. in this case i will always vote for the reliablity of the H6 for the long haul but if i was going to lease a car and didn't care about upkeep in its later years i would go with the fun factor of the turbo 4cyl. H6 doesn't have timing belts either which to me is a big + either way you are going to be
  8. I had one with that digi dash....love the turbo animation! Nice ride dude...love the brown (seriously, I do)
  9. yeah back in 2003/2004 look at his profile...this was his last login: Last Activity: 02-06-2004 12:18 AM
  10. I doubt he is the smartest here and i personally have been a member for a very looooong time and i have never even heard of this person. Wrong board maybe?
  11. called my mechanic to verify....the airbag light can be on but it doesn't matter....as long as the bag isn't hanging out of the steering wheel and obstructing the driving you are OK. So there you have it from 2 PA inspection license holders. It doesn't matter.
  12. and I thought I was nuts for taking my dad's chevy PU and a rented trailer to Rockford Ill to get a 92 legacy turbo and towing it home out and back nonstop. Good for you guys and mad props to all that helped with the saga!
  13. ok I'm not trying to be nosy but what the heck is going on here???? I hear mention of a baja, a coupe, and an XT6...something about parts in NY and charging system issues.... Someone care to tell a full story here since it seems rather interesting and all I have so far are pieces to a big puzzle. Color me curious :-p
  14. I'm telling ya...a 95 impreza is rated at 13.2 us gal/50liter/11.0Imp gal plus the fact that I owned a 95 OBS and a 95 L coupe. It really is that small of a tank.
  15. Gary: i love those wheels....I wish I had something that needed wheels 'cause I would love to put them on a car (not sure they would look right on the baja) Bruce: I'd take one of those tires if you wanted to ship it. I have a 16" steel rim but no tire...I'd like a FS spare for the "longer treks" If you would ship it I'd gladly pay the shipping and throw some "beer money" at ya. LMK Gary again: just make sure those bigger tires will clear the struts...too bad you are so far...we could rip the wheels off the baja and test fit the OBS (if you felt like taking a sunday drive.... LMK)
  16. baja factory size too. Gary...you have forester XT wheels :slobber: If you ever sell them talk to me.
  17. GET WITH THE PROGRAM HERE!!!!!!!!! WE ARE TALKING ABOUT AN IMPREZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just looked in my 1995 impreza owners manual... it doesn't say there is a difference in tanks but it says the tank is 13.2
  18. yeah the AWD tanks are wayyyy small and the sending unit is easy to replace and it is aobut $80 or so from a dealer. I've replaced 2 :-\ I've got it down to a science now....
  19. thats what I told him today...just get one and we can route it a little different if need be. dixracing: Watch what you say....people have been kicked out for less.
  20. I know of a guy that has the OBD II adaptor and software for a laptop and it is the bomb....I saw him use it on a jetta one night....very very cool setup. If I had a laptop I'd have one.
