  1. EDIT: see what I was talking about. ^^^^^^^^^^ before anyone jumps on your a$$ for this... this topic was just discussed over on www.nasioc.com in the baja section. It is very good reading material and there are great pics to go along with it. I highly recomend not discussing this on this board. Every time someone asks this question people start fighting about it. :-\
  2. I hear Weber is really nice... (GO wildcats) I have a friend that went there..he loved it.
  3. Please take a bunch of pics.....I was planning on trying to make this (do a weekend trip) but I have some business to tend to on sat. morning and I couldn't even fly there and make it at a reasonable time... Take lots of pics folks and if this happens again... who knows...maybe. I kinda wanted a lifted something ride
  4. You have never seen an AWD Passat because we didn't get them here in the USA...Lucky Canucks. That Passat with AWD and (if they would have put it in there) a TDi would be killer. Those darn Canucks also got heated seats in the Passat too. Arrrrgggghhhhhhh Matt (a former TDi passat owner)
  5. ....and with Fox I think he doesn't run t-belt covers. Good luck guys! sorry i am too far away to be of any help.
  6. I know from a past personal experience...check the back end of it around the gas tank. The rot likes to hide back there and you don't know it till it is too late. Talk to Hocrest...I'd take his opinion anyday
  7. I was always told to never worry about code 12 b/c it is a generic code to show that your ignition switch works. Basically 12= garbage (don't worry about it)
  8. isn't that brown wagon a GL and not a DL. I had a DL when i was in HS (first car)
  9. I got my parts up at Harry's off of a 97ish impreza wagon that had 14" rims on it. Alignment seems good...no pulling or wear issues.
  10. as far as I know my 83 is a NE car. You do know it only has 54k on it don't you? I know at about 12:15 ben and I went for lunch but we got it and came back....I swear you must have missed us by minutes. You should have hung around a few min. Oh well....maybe next year. Put a pic or 2 up if you have them.
  11. Yep the sedan is mine. Thanks for the compliment. dude I am soooooo pi$$ed that you were there and we didn't get to see you. Andrew stripped the interior so he had more cargo room.....I think he learned a valuable lesson on how seats and carpet can reduce road noise. What time were you at the tent? on saturday right?
  12. I'm not going to say who....but someone in a white turbo wagon got chased down by 5 security people in golf carts and got their car kicked out for the evening.... that person is going to have to live with this one for awhile. *cough NKX cough*
  13. might want to skip the beans....I think we all decided to go out on sat night for pizza or something. I wouldn't worry too much about the flags either.. the show is looking kinda slim this year.
  14. I think you can come and go all night but if you don't have your credentials (the stuff you get from the office when you get there) I'm pretty sure they won't let you in till morning. Call me tomorrow and I'll ask when I get there (in the morning)
  15. called "rust converter" by Klean strip. Bottle is white with a red label on it. I bought this stuff years ago so the packageing might have changed since then.
  16. I bought some stuff from walmart years ago to fix a 90 legacy front fender and all I had to do was smooth it out and paint this stuff on it and it sealed the rust up. The stuff worked awesome. It came in a white bottle if I remember correctly. Body work tips: don't look at me...I work OT to pay people to do it for me. I suck at it.
  17. most everything from a dealer will carry a 12mo/12k warranty but for some reason I think the engines and trannys get more....at a bear minimum I'm sure it gets the 12/12 but do ask for us!
  18. what time are you CT folks leaving to head this way????
  19. what we have here in the east is nothing more than a dirt road to some of you folks from the west....that is one downside to "east coast livin". In my opinion I don't even know if I could find a place that good to go to within a few hundred miles. :-\ but in the end..it is still fun to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Holy cow I can't believe i forgot about the ebrake thing like Qman said. He is exactly right and remember this...if you can get the parts from another impreza only b/c if you get them from a legacy the ebrake cable is a little longer and you have to take the slack up somewhere under the car.
