***********MAJOR UPDATE**************** Well it seems like we are having a very poor showing here. Well that leaves me little to no choice here...I am going to have to put $150 of my own money down to make this happen. Since we aren't going to make the 25 cars by a long streach in order to have a club spot I have to make a deposit of $150. So here is what I am going to do: instead of registering multiple cars of which you might only bring one please only buy the spots that you are going to actually use. Bringing 2 then register 2 and only 2. Why you ask???? well honestly i would rather have you donate to the "club spot" than spend it on registrations for cars you are not going to bring. Here is what I am going to do: I am going to register 2 and bring only 2 insted of buying 5 spaces for myself. What I ask of you is if you were going to buy 3 spots but bring one then save a few bucks of that and only register 1 and help me out with the spot rental then. I am asking for nothing from anyone here but....if you are willing to help offset the costs it would be greatly appreciated. If you want to do paypal then subeman@aol.com is where I am at. If you want to throw some $$$ at me during the show that is cool too. Please remember I am not expecting anything for anyone.....but if you want to help I will take the help. I think the prices are going to increase soon so if you want to register you might want to get on it ASAP. There is not going to be any BEER there unless you bring it yourself. Think BYOB. I believe that NKX has a big cooler and could help keep yours cool if you ask him nicely. Food is going to be your own responsibility too. Last year we were going to do a cookout and a lot of people were interested but it never really flew. Lastly: Scott is MIA on this gathering. I can't get in touch with him (PM, email, phone etc.) and he hasn't been on the board in a long time so I assume that he wants no part of this so i am taking the reigns on this show. As of today there are only 3 cars registered. The buck stops here! If you are going to come then please register asap. If you are not going to come please don't turn this post into a chat about previous years etc. If you have any questions please talk to me and lets all work together on this.

I did but they are gone now....i had a 70 beetle and a 73 sport beetle.

just for craps and giggles....go to autozone and get a can of STP throttle body cleaner and spray the throttle plate with it (follow the instructions on the can). I did this to my impreza and in 5 min it was a totally different car... Seriously...try it it is only like $5. Also I got a can of MAF cleaner too and that really made things go a lot better for me. Good thing to know about the guy in M-ville....I'll put that guy on the don't deal with list I keep in the back of my mind.

did you try asking that guy in downtown Meadville if maybe he can toss you an idea or 2? I hear he is a decient guy to deal with. If I was comming out anythime soon i would lend you a hand but I don't forsee a trip to meadville anytime soon. BTW, My buddy owns that COOL 101. whatever station out there. Do you know him? And a long time ago...on a very dark day in history I got married in meadville at the church on the diamond with the red doors.

I think any JY will sell you any part you need from the exhaust EXCEPT the cat. Flex pipes etc. shouldn't be a prob. What car do you have that they couldn't hook up to it? If it is 95 and older than yes they can't because they are trying to use and OBD2 machine on an OBD1 car. They should be smarter than that.

see what you can do at the JY. If you can get it there then look into upgrading the exhaust and if that doesn't fly the get in touch with me...there is a guy here in Lancaster Co that did a full exhaust on my 83 subaru for dirt cheap. Akron is in Lancaster Co and is just off of rt 222 about 10 miles NE of lancaster. From New Ringold you could be at my house in 50 min or less.

it is illegal to sell a used cat converter. The JY isn't going to sell you one (unless you know the owner or is a buddy of yours etc.) A long time ago I had a broken Y pipe that contains the cat converter in it. I bought a used "muffler" from the nice fellow.

windshield cracks: only gets you flagged if it is in your line of sight. Pass side=ok. TINT!!!!!!: this is not an inspection issue this is a vehicle code issue. Unless your inspection mechanic is a cop you can not get nailed for it. Period end of discussion. When I was in my Inspection class I specifically asked about this more than once. If people would take care of their stuff..maybe things would be different. Who knows. Whoever said about 2x a year inspections....they still do them but not to cars and trucks. Think rollbacks (the ones that are bigger than the glorified pickups) and up in size. The one I drive at work is like this...man does that suck :-\

PA inspection law: flashers/directionals must blink 30-45x per min. No more and no less.

stick shift or automatic? You do run premimum in it don't you? if not read your owners manual. Cool truck...almost bought a silver turbo once myself.

I really think that guy is wrong. If he gives you anymore crap about the wiper tell him to show you in the inspection manual where it is listed. Then let me know b/c I don't recall that and I HAVE a PA inspection license.

I had a 5 speed center diff go on me once. What I found out was...I bought the tranny from a severely rearended turbo legacy and we believe that the drive shaft was smacked into the back of the tranny causing a chain reaction of bad things to happen back there. The end result when it finally broke... it jammed itself into 3rd gear and crunch it went. lucky for me i was 2 miles from home and was on the way to getting gas so that I could leave on a 400 mile trip

rear LSD and wide tires in the rear FTW! what is wrong with solid lifter ea-81's? I happen to like how nice and quiet mine is. +1 for good valve adjustments. Are there any pics of this lowered brat that you speak of?

yes please still register! If you were to only go to look around it is cheaper to buy a spot with us and get a primo parking spot then it is to actually pay to get in and pay for parking too. Also, you get a "gift bag" of free goodies that has some really great stuff in it (atleast last years stuff was pretty cool)

scott bought up the remaining spots to make 25...which is what I plan to do b/c it should be cheaper. Otherwise it is $150

you 1 car nkx 2 cars OK folks I did a little bit of checking on the internet about this: If we don't make the minimum (25) we can still have a club tent/area BUT it is $150 or I have to buy up the remaining spots. Please if you think you can go PLEASE register int he next week or so b/c I have to figure out how many spots I am going to have to buy to make up the remaining 25 spots BEFORE APRIL 20th (APRIL 15th would leave me some room to work with)

paul swears by those things too. They are highly reccomended.

jjou812: Please register at www.carlisleevents.com for the may 19-21 show and when you do the application please put the club in as "ultimate subaru" if you think you might want to bring the legacy it would really help the numbers.....WE NEED TO HAVE 25 CARS REGISTERED TO GET A CLUB SPACE!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you (or anyone have any questions please post them or feel free to ask in a PM or whatever.... We really need to pull this together soon!

did you put the coil back in and hook the 2 wires up on that bracket that the coil is on? If you can't get the fuel pump to run why don't you hot wire it so you can atleast make sure everything works properly and come back to that problem later. I don't think the ecu is bad. The car ran when the motor got borked. Good luck
